No its not.

Spectator is a non-registered user browsing the forums.

Usually forums have it labelled as "guest" but then the user Guest was a smartass and took that name for this very reason. And so TWG changed it to Spectator.

Again I'm in this thread and there is no Spectator. Its got nothing to do with defaulting.

Kinda... It was more like "Let's change the usual 'Guest' to 'Spectator' to make it more football-y" then Guest came along and took the username of Guest.
