And the joint is called 'Lambs'.

Did you wait the usual hour to get one? Always packed that place

Nah. Every time I went in it wasn't that busy.

I was staying at the hotel right across the road too. Convenient as fuck.

I also found out you can buy takeaway alcohol from restaurants at any hour, so long as they're open. Buying a 6 pack at 1am along with a delicious souvo roll. Living like a fucking King.

So. God. Damn. Jealous  and its not like its that far from home either

There's better than Lambs Heine...

The joint is called Ulysses (not sure if mentioned in thread already and cbf looking) its on High St in Northcote. Every Cabby knows it. Next time your in Melbourne, hit it up!!

I find the Lambs meat to be a bit dry at times. Ulysses is quality, but dont expect a nice rstaurant to sit in. It is a dingy corner shop, but oh so good!!!

I was just stoked there was one across from my hotel in Carlton. I was set. All I had to do was stumble home from the tram back from St Kilda or wherever I was, and salvation was a 10 step walk away.

Next time I'm in Melbourne we're going to have do a kebab crawl. It's like a pub crawl but meatier.

Made myself one with hummus and tabbouleh. You don't get that in Germany and they always have pocket style bread which I think could be a real novelty in Australia. Do any kebab places in Australia do that? Or is it always a long wrap?

Mustafa's in Berlin is easily the best I've ever eaten. Goat's cheese, spices, deep friend and crunchy vegetables and the sauce portion is light which doesn't saturate the crispy, fresh, warm bread but goes perfectly with the meat. I always order two. Waited two hours once and went there another time expecting a massive line but only had 5 people in front of me. http://www.yelp.com/biz/mustafas-gem%C3%BCsed%C3%B6ner-berlin Check it out.

Bump.

Hit up Victoria Yeeros this arvo in Marrickville for a late lunch. Heard a lot of people on here rave about it over the years. It wasn't bad. I thought it was a bit shit they charged me $1 for tzatziki, $1 for tabouli. So a kebab, small chips, and 2 drinks came to just under $25. Having said that, it was very nice. The meat was juicy, and the tzatziki was fresh and full of garlic. The salad was fresh and crisp too.

Good joint. :)

Over the m80 weekend, consumed a Jimmy's kebab at North Parramatta. I've had one before, and it wasn't bad, but apparently they've been taken over and are now running under new ownership, and the kebab certainly wasn't as good as I remember. I actually don't remember much of the kebab, but the post-morning kebab mouth I had was fucking putrid.

A few of the m80s had a kebab from Mayfield Kebab store. I ended up getting the charcoal chicken & chips but a few of the lads got kebabs. How were they? They seem to get very positive reviews on their facebook page. But having said that, it's Newcastle. They probably think the next most ethnic food is Dolmio Spaghetti bolognese out of a jar.

Victoria Yeeros is fantastic. Driven a long way for one of those!
