Got a chance to play FIFA 14 on PS4 (first time playing PS4 at all) for the first time last night (I have it on PS3). Got to play 2 games versus friends (offline).

Someone PLEASE kill me when the throw-in scene happens. As in, that has to be the most painful thing I've ever been through. There was one time my guy had the ball in his hands, holding it on his hips, while another player invested the time to run over to the other ball and kick it out (at least 20 seconds in real time). Seriously, whoever thought it was a good idea to invest the time, money, etc into that throw-in bit really needs a good slap.

As for the game itself, compared to PS3, the defending seemed a bit different (probably more real). The chipped though balls seemed a bit OP to me, and it felt like when an attacker and defender contested a chipped through ball that the attacker was given a better chance of winning the ball (which I don't think would have played out like that IRL, nor in any other FIFA game). The Arsenal players seemed mostly the same.

This looks awesome, well enough of a refresh of Ultimate team which makes it seem exiting. Full national teams will be awesome especially players in leagues not in the game (J.League I am looking at you). Definitely going to make an AFC team.

Bowden do you know/can you disclose will there be player rating updates in this and any chance of seeing injured players like Kruse?

It's only the players in the WC squads.

I suspect so but Rever is in the preview and not in the Brazil squad. This is most likely down to this video being prepared weeks ago but I can still hope of getting kruse.

Also went to the FIFA official forums and it seems there will be no trading at all in this gamemode. From the preview I thought it was just your initial pack (so everyone didn't choose Argentina) but it seems it will be the whole mode. People will probably be pissed with this but with such a small pool of players I think it will be cool.
