Federer is in probably the worst form of his career.

Surprised how cool he was when confronting the umpires on the foot fault issue, the Hewitt of a few years ago would have lost it in those circumstances imo.

Del potro clobbers tomic in the last pre aus open match
Del potro's forehand is so powerful but tomic kept feeding it to him

Del potro's forehand is so powerful but tomic kept feeding it to him The thing is, because Del Potro's so tall he's got no problem with hammering that backhand straight down the line either. There aren't a lot of weaknesses to Del Potro's game which you can take advantage of.

Consistency and injuries are the only thing stopping him He has a high rate of unforced errors from memory. At 25 he needs to start showing more consistency if he's ever going to make the step up and really challenge the big names. He holds inferior records against all of them - Federer (5-15), Murray (2-5), Nadal (4-8) and Djokovic (3-11) - though he's also the youngest of the lot.

In looking forward to those 5 hour epics, especially those night sessions
Although they schedule the men's singles first up in the evening sessions, unlike the good ol days where hewitt and baghdatis took to the court at 12am and finished sometime around evening (in Europe time) :D
