The Victorian State League Cup has now reached the semi-finals stages with Dandenong Thunder facing Heidelberg United in an all Victorian Premier League clash, while in the other semi-final two first division clubs Port Melbourne and Sunshine George Cross go head to head. Both matches will be played over the next two weeks.

Dandenong top of the league by a mile - Heidelberg bottom of the league by a mile - but last time they met (ironically in the 1/4 finals of the same competition, Heidelberg won 3-2).

Port Melbourne will be VPL next year, Sunshine George Cross with a fine tradition.

Sadly the final will not be at AAMI Park this season - so either a dodgy suburban venue or Lakeside if SMFC agree to it.
