Going by Brad Smiths twitter he probably completed a 90 minute match against Bateson.

Can he hold on to the #1 spot forever now?
Would be a shame for him to miss even a couple of BVB games over January so Wiedenfeller has a chance to come back.

He'll likely fly straight to OZ for Xmas and the training camp starts around then. The winter break for the Bundesliga is over the same weekend as the final. If Australia make the final he won't play the opening game for Dortmund. Whether he plays for Australia is another thing. Edited by johnszasz: 10/12/2014 07:50:43 AM

Kruse getting subbed at half time doesn't sound good for getting more game time in regular season games up until the asian cup

I don't read too much into Kruse being subbed for an 18 year old in a dead tie. Just the manager trying out a kid IMO

Just the manager trying out a kid IMO Brandt, who was subbed on, played quite a few games last season and did very well. He hasn't played much this season due to the brilliance of their other wingers so it makes sense to give him 45min also. Kruse didn't use his 45 to stake any claim unfortunately.

I saw the last 20 mins the other night against Bayern. The goalie seemed to keep bombing the ball long and Kruse was surrounded by 4 monster defenders. His team mates aren't good at passing either (especially the turkish guy)

Crap defending. Langerak concedes one. Little he could do there.

Langerak certainly not at fault for that goal. Good thing for Kruse is Leverkusen did nothing all game so not as though his performance stands out like a sore thumb.

Spewing I didn't get to watch Mitch's game, but great to hear positive reports. Hopefully Kloop sees it that way. Great stroke of luck with the winter break falling right on the Asian Cup, hopefully Weidenfeller has a howler in the first game back.

Al Gharafa got smacked 1-6 at home. Bresc played the full game. Pretty dodgy if I'm to be honest that 12th place destroys 3rd place away from home in a game that affects neither side. :-k

The team played terrible . Brandt and son did nothing also. There threw to nxt round so . Hopefully kruse keeps pushing .

My guess its the centre back who got subbed at half-time.

Langeraks first stop was good. Weird second goal right on the line, doh was hoping a bit of luck would help get him a clean sheet. Not to worry, or should we be ? Immobile wow. If just one of those strikes had have gone in Langerak would have been looking better :D strikes me how not one of those went in.. Kruse game sounds like a bit of experimenting went on, was it really that bad. Oh well. Sounds like typical Aussie mentality atm, can't keep up the level for long and keep on producing up and down performances

Kruse needs time. He just recovered from a serious injury.
