Really random question, does anybody know if Dimitri Hatzimouratis got any game time in Cyprus while he was over there? Did he play in the first division?

Sydney Olympic v Bonnyrigg is going to go off like a bomb in a basement. Marconi/APIA should be interesting. APIA are probably favourites, but IIRC they've a dreadful record at Marconi.

Anybody know anything of this Joel Chianese to Sabah FA rumour? Talk is that he was meant to go to Auckland City for the OFC Champions League ,but the move fell through when the club failed to register him in time. Apparently he's in Malaysia on trial atm. Does anybody know any more. I don't think it'll happen because the Malaysian FA state that all foreign imports previous club must have been in the top division of the league they were playing in, and Bonnyrigg is NPL (Div 2 Aus). Having said that, El-Haj Diouf's plays for the club too, and his last team was Leeds. Sabah also play in the Malaysian 2nd division at the moment too, so there's an irony with that.

Never mind, turns out he has signed. Will be a loss for Bonnyrigg up front you'd think. Apparetly signed for $200,000. Good money for Bonnyrigg if true. :o Edited by Heineken: 27/3/2015 01:35:26 AM

Edited by Heineken: 27/3/2015 01:35:26 AM Big loss. Were lacking upfront against Marconi, won 4-0 but should have been much more.

So apparently Chianese was actually signed from Auckland City and not Bonnyrigg. Which would explain the whole previous club having to have been in the top division, which Auckland obviously are. Story is he was signed by Auckland for the O-League, but not in time so they then sold him on to Sabah.

Presume money would be the only reason for Pava for that move.

Week 3 highlights Go Shirai is surely being scouted by A-League clubs, especially if he carries this form throughout the season and FFA Cup.

How's the lad holding up? Assuming he's out of hospital? Did the doctors find out what happened?

by all reports he is doing well... I think he is out if not next day or two.. I'm not sure too be honest. but with these types of injuries, how long is the lay off? is it safe to say he wont be back this season? Edited by 19-su-58: 7/4/2015 10:22:25 AM

Edited by 19-su-58: 7/4/2015 10:22:25 AM I'm no doctor, but to wind up in a coma after a head clash would suggest a serious head/brain injury. I reckon the doctors would be playing it safe and telling him not to play the rest of the season which in all honesty is the smart option. You don't want him to go up for a header, and them collapse on the field again, with potentially even worse results! Good luck to him. Hopefully it doesn't ruin his career

Hopefully it doesn't ruin his career I know its not the same level (I suppose it doesn't matter what level though really) but a mate of mine had a very similar injury last season. Head clash going for a header did him in. Doctors have told him it would be very unwise to play again. He still gets unbearable headaches every now and then.
