Aljazeera newspaper (in arabic) confirmed today that AFC Champions League coming to PES 2014.

Aljazeera reported that the AFC will sign the final contract with Konami in the coming days in Dubai, presence of the Vice-President of the of AFC of football and the president of the Marketing in AFC, Konami will presented by chairman of the Board and the Marketing Manager of the company.

As expected to officially announce PES 2014 in the next few days with the new Konami engine “Fox Engine” which expected to made significant changes on the game.

No official release date yet but going by history it seems safe to predict that you will be firing up Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 around September/October time of this year. Konami bought forward the release slightly last year to give it a week head start on FIFA 13, so expect some more release date jostling from the competing titles.

Apparently PES 2013 wasn't too bad, might get PES 2014 - FIFA feels like a broken game at times and I loved the master league. Btw, nobody cares about the Asian Champions League.

Still won't be buying Pes.

Snooze u lose EA, was hoping to see it in fifa. Cant see myself switching back now, too addicted to career mode. Does pes still have the master league combined euro thing? Havent played it fully since ps2

So now PES has the Champions League, Copa Liberatores, and ACL.

Champions League in PES2013 had 80% of the teams in it, so its not too far from the truth.

EA has aleague license so not sure how this affects ACL licensing, maybe its exempt or dual licensed? Hopefully wsw can be in both.

Or can Wanderers revert to the aborted West Syd Rovers moniker? ;)

Will get if A-League is in it (they should have the acl teams MV, CCM and WSW at the very least).

Never quite got why this was a big thing for some people. You can download option files now where some other sad people have done all the editing for you, right down to the sponsors on the kits.

I've heard the master league has gone a bit funny recently. You can't create your own team and you can't make your own league any more. Customisation of the master league was one of the best things about PES, I didn't care if it had real currency or not, it was great.

FIFA is a bit broken right now, I'd like to move to PES for a change. I've heard 2013 got the gameplay right and the master league wrong - not too much to change then. Maybe their servers have improved as well.

For PS2, PES was the king. Frankly, anyone who disagrees were probably kids blindsided by FIFA marketing buzzwords or people who just weren't into games. I hope it gets its crown back again, great times with those games. You don't get that feeling with FIFA - no soul to the game.

'This is Soccer' is still the best ever football game. You could use NSL teams, and could play in Any league you could think of!

Terrible news was hoping this would be in Fifa. :(
