We sure do, lucky this game really means nothing, we lose, we will finish 4th. Its almost like a dead rubber.
Fabianski had no chance of stopping Anelkas rocket, was on a direct path for Fabianski and all of a sudden curled intensely out of the way.

Essien is a class act. How he reads the play, passes. Absolute brilliant player. can hit one or two as well. Wish we had him for australia.
Chelsea 4-1.
Tomorrow the big match. Viduka scored 5 in his last 4 against boro. Needs to continue. We need this win desperately.

I think this is Dukes' best chance to score. Against his old club, he will either have a blinder or a shocker

Fabianski must be the worst keeper in the EPL. Even Scott Carson was better than he is.

Youd have to say so. Jesus Benj, if you get this right, and Hull drop down, I will be absolutely astonished.
Dukes didnt score though
But, looking at the match review, he looked in form, and get this:
BBC Sport Player Rater man of the match: Newcastle's Mark Viduka (7.66 on 90 minutes).
Well done

Dukes was easily the best player on the park
but that game encapsulated what the premiership is about... tough fast passionate... it was brilliant game from a neutral that was sliding to newcastle before kick off
should change the name of the new terminator film
"Shearer: Salvation"

Edited by imnofreak: 12/5/2009 07:49:20 AM In much the same way that my lads survived last season more because the rest of the teams at the bottom were awful than through our own brilliance, the Mags always had a chance this season because of how bad the bottom 5 or 6 clubs are. Today's game was always going to be a huge chance at salvation for Newcastle - Boro are truly a lost club. No fight in the midfield, the new signings are all talented enough players but none have the bite to replace Cattermole or Boateng. I could understand them offloading Boateng in the summer, old and overpaid, but letting Cattermole go without a suitable replacement was madness on Southgate's part. As for Dukes. Yep, he played well - but, whilst I don't know the usual ratings for the BBC's man of the match, to be the best player on the pitch and still get less than 8/10 really says it all about the standards in that match. Finally, please note the way Damian Duff pushed Shearer out of the way after Martins' celebration - and note the change in Shearer's demeanor after the shove. Not saying there was anything in it, but it was an interesting moment.

Liverpool - 1 more draw needed at arsenal, who they raped, and hull city who they raped. Maybe next year? It was over after the spurs game.

Edited by seriously: 14/5/2009 07:53:19 AM Utd need to lose to Arse and Hull. Fuck Lets be honest it wont happen. And its bad for us also, as they will probably field kids against Hull, and then they would look beatable for a hull side. Thats why we have to beat fulham, if we do we will be safe. Arsene is starting to piss me off by fielding 2 year olds that comprise of the whole squad. Why sell flamini and hleb. What an idiot and rely on adebayor for the henry role? Lol. Clown. Pretty sure we can all face the fact that Man U are going to win the title this weekend. I really cant see us winning. On a better note, imnofreak wrote:Rangers drew 1-1 so Celtic are back in with a chance. They need Rangers to draw/lose one more It's back on.

Personally I think the EPL would be better off with M'boro in the league than Chelsea. And it would be such a giggle to see Chelsea in the Championship. Seriously though it is a shame. Any Northern team relegated is sad, but Southgates team are woeful in front of the goal, and downing is a dud against quality opposition and /or in pressure matches

Liverpool have had just 6 of 23 wins by the odd goal. So You should probably just shut up. It's a shame, it was nice while it lasted, but you never know in football. I'm going to wait until It definately is over before I shout and scream and curl up in the fetal position in my wardrobe and cry for a week or six.

Leeds 1 - 1 Millwall. Millwall take it 2-1 on aggregate. Leeds had a penalty just after half time, but it was a poor one. They took the lead 5 minutes after, but Millwall hit back with 15 to go and hung on. I almost feel sorry for Leeds, but nah. Do feel sorry for the blokes who got the final shown live on Fox, unlucky.

It was a pretty poor choice of clubs to go up tbh. Leeds still think they're a big club, Millwall apparently have the scummiest fans in England, MK Dons aren't a real club, and Scunthorpe really speak for themselves...
