I just figured it out.
Batfink's posts & threads make perfect sense if you read them in the voice of Gary Busey.

Got our mad consumer on & have bought presents for everyone.
Xmas morning breakfast with my sisters fam & my parents, then church with the mrs. Xmas lunch at the mrs's grandmothers. Xmas dinner at my mums place (with 70 people from her side of the family coming). Boxing day at my uncles place to watch start of Syd-Hobart. I have the entire week afterwards off work, hoping to get some serious renovating done in that time (anyone want to come up and help?)

Sydcro will pricematch Dan Murphys and we can have a good old work-and-booze fest

Christmas this year will consist of the 24/12 German Xmas party at my place for the German contingent of my family and the time we spend with our close friends, before the annual building of the elves (when you have kids Xmas eve is a time of building drinking and swearing at instructions that make no sense!)
Christmas day 25/12 will consist of the obligatory early wake up by the kids to their delighted squeals at the wonderful gifts Santa has brought and a wonderfully rich breakfast before travelling to my Mothers house for a early morning celebration with Granpops and Nanna before heading over to my in-laws for Xmas lunch with Great Nanna and Pop (plus some Mario carting on my father in-laws wii that he got last year and never uses(my mother in-law gives the worst presents))and meeting up with my parents again in the afternoon having 4 generations talking shit and many of them mildly intoxicated. Before heading home for some well deserved rest and relaxation with tequila and beer and maybe a spliff.
Boxing Day 26/12 will be left over heaven and the return of the friends for more feasting and merriment.
I LOVE CHRISTMAS TIME!!!!!!!

Quote:the annual building of the elves (when you have kids Xmas eve is a time of building drinking and swearing at instructions that make no sense!) If you go out into your back yard on Christmas eve at about 10pm you can hear parents all over the neighbourhood swearing at instructions and struggling to put things together.

Ignoring the severe urge to take the piss out of you...
Will probably go to church on Xmas Eve, then on Christmas morning have breakfast and presents with my immediate family before jetting off across town to put on 10Kg's with my dads (Italian) side of the family. Then going to my mums (true blue 'strayan) side for a boring attempt at dinner then probably getting a proper dinner back at home .

It took about an hour to initially put it together incorrectly, then 2 hours to pull it apart and re-assemble it. I still blame my sister for throwing the outer-casing instructions away by mistake. I've done the trampoline, swing set + slide, bikes and trikes and this year we have a sea saw, a wooden sand pit and a water and sand table. Glad I got that gazebo for free, gonna need it with all the outside play to be had!
