Hey guys has anyone had an experience of getting boots replaced as I'm feeling hugely pessimistic.

The sole of my blackout predators has peeled away having worn them only about 45 times (games and training). The problem is they were purchased in March 2013 and Sportsmart (who I bought them though) didn't feel like I'd have a good chance of a successful return/replacement.

They cost $239 so i feel at that price i should get decent use out if them especially as I've taken good care of them.

Has anyone had a positive experience with an Adidas boot return?

There's no such thing as a 'return date'. If the product purchased hasn't lived up to its billing then they're required by the ACCC to replace it no matter how long it's been in your possession. Do a bit of reading to brush up on consumer rights on the subject and implied warranties and then go have another chat with the good folks at Sportsmart.

Sportsmart have accepted the return but said that they are advised by Adidas as to whether they will replace. The shop floor guy just hinted that the March '13 date might make it more difficult.

The boots were very well maintained but in my push-off for a header the back part of the sole detached.

I'm mainly pissed-off cos they've been the best boots I've ever had.
