So I'm at work tonight, and who should stroll into the bar.

None other than the BEAST FROM CANOWINDRA himself, Rhyan Grant.

Found out he's living in Balmain. Came into the pub with a mate and his missus (who is smoking, I might add). Had a nice little convo with him. Ripped it up on the dancefloor.

Top, top bloke. Will never have to pay for a drink if I see him in the pub. Mind you, I don't think any Sydney FC player would ever have to pay for a drink should they walk in.

North Parramatta. I'm in North Rocks, but that pub is the closest to me.
He's down there on Monday nights occasionally to play poker.

Mile Sterjovski is at Castle Towers (Castle Hill) with his family a fair bit. Haven't seen him in a while, but for the last few years I've seen him up there reasonably regularly.

To be honest though I think it was Savage Garden and Silverchair who really broke through the US market for the Aussies. Prior to that it was a struggle in particular for the Aussie bands in the early 90s.
I remember Johnny Diesel was one guy I thought who was way underrated for an artist and deserved more plaudits for his music.

LRB, Air Supply, INXS did that.

True. Did INXS have hits that stayed on the US charts for long though?

I remember Savage Garden's song "I want you" stayed in the Billboard Charts for ages. I remember listening to Rick Dees on 104.1 Sydney and they flogged that song to death.

Three of the best posters on here, all together.... and yes, add ACDC for cracking the US in the late 70s.

Easybeats had UK success in the late 60s, but couldn't crack America.

Aurelio and Tony Vidmar have a thrid brother Andrew who decide to play Aussie Rules growing up. His a sparky now and we've used him a few times. His wife is a customer.

My father in law is mates with John Kosmina. I scored tickets in the AU box when he was in charge of SFC through him at Coopers stadium.

I played junior football with Adriano Pellegrino. His Dad was our coach.
