just found this on a celtic page when i was trying to find an update on how rogic is travelling.

"The club have also told Zaluksa, Balde, Griffiths, Boeriggter, Rogic, Atajic and McGeouch that if offers come then the player can leave."

not much but id be pretty interested to hear of any updates on the young fella if anyone knows..

http://mobile.celticrumours.co.uk/

also, does anyone know wtf this page is? not just the page but the whole website. is it TR's?

this report doesnt add much confidence. sez the new gaffer "talks constantly of closing down relentlessly of being super-fit, pacy. " not exactly attributes that you give to rogic.

and then

"Deila then has to make decisions, and not just in recruitment. Do such as Commons, Griffiths and Stokes have to go? What about such as Derk Boerritger, Tom Rogic and Dylan McGeouch? The strong suspicion is that all could be disposed of without causing the manager too much grief."

belgiums in there now? so any lower euro league where we get a starter and they do alright is now considered a great development league.

how about turkey? it was good for the jedi.

Pros and cons of leaving.

He is unlikely to get first team football while at Celtic if Commons stays however any team doctor worth their salt wouldn't let him pass a medical with his fitness problems atm. Wait it out 6 months, get some fitness back and then start to look again.

Good. Get him the hell out of there.

Jokes aside, Club Brugge were actually leading the chase to sign him before Celtic swooped in. If they were prepared to pay for him back then, they may well want to sign him for free now. Pretty low-risk I'd imagine.

Back to oz would be the best place for him. He needs a task master of a coach who is going to push him. He hasn't had that yet, he needs to be pushed. If he can have a good season back here and play like he actually wants to be on the field then he can get back over to Europe. Inherently lazy player with an inflated self worth. People need to stop blowing smoke up his arse and remind him that success comes from hard work. He needs a popa type coach who pushes him to breaking point fitness wise.

+1. We just so happen to need an Australian marquee. Preferably an attacking player.

bit of chatter on the celtic site about rogic. there's a little bit of hope that he might be what they need in midfield atm.

someone saw a celtic training video of with rogic training recently.

Swiss league, Belgium or bundesliga 2 but I think a season in the a league would do wonders for him and then could if selected for the Asian cup could put himself back in the shop window for euro clubs. Mariners should try bring him back.

after a bit more sniffing around i found a piece that was written about rogic about 6 weeks ago. dunno if it's already made onto the fft forums but he's saying that he wants to push on and try for a spot back in the team under deila - but what else is he going to say really? some of the chatter on the celtic websites sez that he would be a good fit.

Thanks for your contributions inala brah - Infact I had almost forgotten about Rogic, during this long off-season. Interesting developments - hope you and others can continue to keep us posted?

Good reminder Bowden and aside from Brugge, it was rumoured QPR and a club or two in the top tiers of Spain were in the mix? :-k

Edit: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11711/8397727/queens-park-rangers-want-central-coast-mariners-midfielder-tom-rogic

I think one of you guys mentioned too that Ryan's success at Brugge, 'may' further encourage their pursuit of his former Mariners team-mate and at one time transfer target? No TF fee AND it only being a relatively short time since he moved to Celtic, still early in his career - he should well be a bargain and he could well, finally, find a suitable team and league, with he being a free agent in the market - provided his agent does his job well.

Belgium has always been in there - Belgium and Holland were the two leagues considered to be ideal, it's only the last couple of years that German 2nd has become the new league of choice.

if there hasnt been any news yet about some interest im starting to think he's going to get through the injury/ recovery from surgery and try for celtic first team for now.

i dont think anyone would want to pay for him until he can get some game time. the injuries and missed games at victory probably dont look that good for a prospective club.

Seems like a long time since he wasn't injured one week or another, makes you wonder if he just isn't getting looked after or he just isn't up for it. Makes it a bit hard for him to find a club. I would still take him at the Roar either way though, he's worth the risk.

the issue was an ongoing groin thing that he was avoiding surgery with so he could still be in contention for the world cup.

once that was out of the picture he had the surgery straight away and news is that he's training again with no real problems - just fitness.

If playing under the tutelage one of the good HAL coaches - Arnie, Gombau, Muscat, Moss, Mulvey, JVS, Popa, and playing ACL, he would be better off than in Scotland.

Apart from the Old Firm, the HAL is on a par with the rest of the SPL, and , our teams play better football in a much easier climate.

I love Scotland as a tourist.:)

I had high hopes for Rogic, but it appears he could have been hyped up too much and risks not being heard from again. I see the close skills I just do not see a player who can adapt those skills to the physical demands of a 11 v 11 game.
