If this results in a more limited availability of European players to the EPL perhaps it will mean more demand for Australian players in England.

There could even be more freedom of movement between the UK (or the Kingdom of England, soon) and Australia/Canada/NZ etc. now, so that's one silver lining.

Wonder what this does now for the region's stability.

Fracturing EU, Russia fucking around with Ukraine, countries locking up borders in response to the migrant crisis, Turkey on the doorstep of ISIS and only getting worse with its own political issues.

Melting pot alright.

Short term:
- probably a new Prime Minister for Britain
- probably a recession
- a two-year, messy process of actually leaving the EU
- Resurgence in support for eurosceptic parties in other EU countries

Long term:
- Britain gets fucked over in its trade agreements with European countries
- London is no longer the continent's financial hub / FDI in Britain declines
- Britain becomes increasingly irrelevant and loses a huge amount of geopolitical power
- Scotland probably leaves Britain
- Collapse in support for eurosceptic parties in other EU countries when people see how fucked Britain is

It's not the end of the world (for anyone), but Britain really has shot itself in the foot.

Because of the immigrants that are somehow both taking their jobs and bludging on benefits at the same time.
