Agree. While I enjoy some 'banta' like the occasional fake thread (Sydneys superstar striker: Matt Simon - Frank Farina appointed new Roar coach ect....) Most threads last year quickly turned into Roar v Victory troll fights regardless of the original story.

It got a bit tiring.

General Ashnak I think just got sick and tired of the bullshit on the forums. Cool_Cat was a hilarious poster, used to wind the shit out of Bowden for shits n giggles. He disappeared a while back IIRC. Thupercoach is still around I'm fairly sure.

I thought Cool Cat, GA and Thuper used to make some good football contribs.

I wasn't aware that CC chased Bowden around.

Just ask Bowden of what he thought (and probably still thinks) of Cool Cat. :lol: I've never seen the bloke fire up quickly over a pint. :lol:

I'm with TSF on the two main things he brought up.

I remember pretty much all of them. Kiwi Chuck, Maxii, Gaz (who did my fucking head in), GA, all contributed a fair bit. I miss seeing AJohns signature.

I've thought of this a few times and you are right, how would we know if a fellow forum fan departed? Potentially (on any favourite sports forum) for some it would be like leaving behind a favourite past time without ever saying seeya or thanks for the discussions/ debates/laughs/great wins & memorable moments.

It is a shame seeing certain good posters departed.
Being sports followers there used to be the term of being a good sport.
It seems nowadays people can't abide by this nowadays as in the past.
The constant ridicule of players, clubs etc gets OTT.
People just can't accept x player or club is better - you all can't win thats the game.
So people decide to ridicule for the means of one up man ship or bigger dick syndrome.
By all means we love our clubs our players and no problem showing it but no oh no don't give an opponent credit where its due.
Were together we love Football - shame being a good sport doesn't apply anymore hence why people leave.

People get sick of other people's shit on here. I know it's off season but there's been alot of shit being posted. Only lately have I been more active.

I don't post much as it is but I do read most of the stuff, and I can understand why people don't come on here anymore.

I partially blame the Australian ashes cricket team. They've shi-ted a lot of people off.

Mk got ip banned . Even his static ip he was using k.a banned as well :lol: .

He left before WSW became a thing and Cole moved I think. That would have been interesting.

442s the only thing that keeps me modding off some arvos. Others days I find a nice warm cupboard especially this colder weather.

The wanker factor is a major problem on any forum. Humbert has openly stated his intent to drive me from this forum and follows me from thread to thread with his abuse. He has been banned a few times for his openly racist attacks upon me.

Other forums that I'm on, especially ones where you use your real name, don't seem to have as many trolls on them, this is one of worst and really needs an update.
It's supposed to be a forum to coincide with the 442 mag but I bet 90% on here don't buy it.
442 really devalue their own mag by letting their forums become an outdated troll wasteland.

Mostly design, tech, gaming and dev forums. I suppose the topics there don't inspire the same kind of passion that football does though.
