I've heard fuck all. When Ronaldinho left Atletico Mineiro, journos scrambled to link him the the A-League. They did the same when he left Queretaro and they're doing the same now that he's left Fluminese. It's not going to happen and it's not worth it.
For the first time, but certainly not the last, I began to believe that Arsenals moods and fortunes somehow reflected my own. - Hornby

He might still be a very good player, but he clearly causes more problems than he's worth, seeing as Queretaro were fed up with him after just a couple months and almost got rid of him early into his contract with him, while Fluminese actually dumped him. Talented player, but he seems to have an ego and attitude problem that I can't imagine a single club in the A-League would put up with. The A-League shouldn't need to be propped up by washed up stars of yesteryear after 11 years.

There's a reason he lasted 2 months of an 18 month contract at Fluminense, he is waaay past it.

roary's mane wrote:Word is Perf want him. 1. Marinkovic 2. Sandor 3. Sidnei 4. Fernandez 5. Castro The only teams that can sign him are Brisbane and the Mariners, unless guest players fall outside of the foreign quota. It would be a huge slap in the face to the unpaid players and staff in those clubs if their owners decided to meet Ronaldinho's demands.

He got 0 goals and 0 assists from 8 games at Fluminense then had his contract ended early for off-field behaviour. Great player in his day but his head clearly isn't in it any more and he probably wouldn't be up to it. Would be Romario Mk. II :p

Jets, CCM, Nix and Glory are the only teams (I think) that have marquee positions open and I cant see any of them splashing the cash for a hit/miss player like Ronaldinho. Maybe he will sign for a guest stint?
