As this competition expands i will love it more and more. Im so happy my club holds the cup.

The FFA Cup, the NPLV and the AFC Champions League are what holds my interest now. The FFA Cup in particular, giving a rare spotlight on what is truly the best bit of Australian Football, our wide range of community clubs with their various background, rich histories and suburban grounds.

I adore the A-League, but the Cup really adds a whole different flavour to Australian football. So good to see some of the state clubs do so well.

The central zone clubs were invited last year as well. Borroloola are a Central Zone club, who played in the NorZone qualifying in 2015. The only other central zone clubs are Katherine and Gove.

Actually, it seems that the clubs in the regional associations in Victoria can join the fun this year after all, although not all that many have taken up the chance this time. Ballarat North United, get in.

Mullumbinby Brunswick Valley have forfeited to Lismore Thistles in the Northern NSW Far North Coast region. haha classic result - Lismore dancing in the street I expect but reported injuries lol...... You know what, going back on a few posts regards to HAL etc.... Melbterrace for me at times has differing view to me but thats for all of us barring the main topic we can all agree is loving our Football and your post says it all well done. I keep following the Aleague and a participating member but the FFACup is bloody tops for me as well, taken a long time to get to having this type of national comp incl the amateur clubs look forward to it growing and growing. I'm still into my PL incl YL even more having a son involved so yer - give me grass roots/local football. I love my weekends filled with getting to games - watching here and there then upon going to a aleague game my expectations most times are deflated....ok don't bring up I'm a SFC supporter having to watch arnie's adventurous game plans  Edited by M.L.: 12/2/2016 12:36:02 PM

Didn't some one say here the attitude on the GC is "we won't be GCC so why pay the money?" Pretty disgusting that SW (Toowoomba area) has more participants than GC. I think WB has more last year too.

Starting to believe that as well especially when you compare it to Newcastle's participation numbers. They are a similar sized city yet they are gettin whipped in numbers. We should use these numbers as potential expansion.
