I really doubt it is true and i have not seen a single reliable source but a couple of people on twitter are saying that Mooy is set to join Southampton at the end of the A-League season.

Thoughts?

Could be worse. Jordie Classie hasn't settled too well. Wanyama could also be sold.

Southampton are still a chance for Champions League. If they do make it, I think they will be looking for a class above Mooy.

Would like to see him prove himself in the Championship first before going straight to the EPL.

He's got all the foot skills but I don't know if he could keep up with the pace.

English football wouldn't suit Mooy at all. He'd be far better off in the Netherlands or Italy where the pace is slower and the standard a tad lower.

The Eredivisie must be poor standard if Memphis Depay could dominate it,

Europa League qualification will be the best hope.

I agree, although if he could pick up his handling speed, he could do a job in England.
Personally, I think the Championship would be a good move. With a wife and very young child plus with him being a bit socially awkward, an English speaking country might just be a little easier, and familiar for him.
