What's his Spanish like, Bowden?
Has he spoken in Spanish on Valencia TV?
Leckie's German is decent (having been there for a decent while now, though).

Leckie's German is decent (having been there for a decent while now, though). I just listened to an interview then from March this year and he went alright. He's been there for less than a year, so to be expected that he didn't speak perfectly, but he wasn't too bad. I would say he's around a B1 level if you're familiar with the language levels. http://keeplagu.net/download/251993862/15-03-2016-entrevista-amb-matt-ryan.html?id=251993862&permalink=15-03-2016-entrevista-amb-matt-ryanTo be fair though, listening to some of the Spanish speakers in the a-league, especially at Adelaide, I don't think matty is too far behind, and surely has enough to function in a football environment

They consider Castillian to be their second language, after Catalan :) EDIT: Draupnir said this already... Edited by eldorado: 7/7/2016 09:39:13 AM

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36724923Lazio sign Bielsa as their new manager, this could be interesting for Ikonomidis' development.

Goodwin playing the first half for Sparta Rotterdam in a 4-0 friendly win over a 6th tier side and set up the first goal, Dougall played the second half and scored the fourth. Looking forward to seeing Kenny in the Eredivisie.
Jeggo playing the first 78 minutes of a friendly with a Ukrainian Premier League team, and Rogic playing the last half hour in a preseason friendly as well.

Please show some respect for this forum by addressing his highness as King Kenny etc.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Edited by Barca4life: 6/7/2016 07:43:55 PM The thing i found with Spain and especially Barcelona was that most people around 40 years old or older couldn't understand English but the teenagers were very good. I figured if i felt the need to speak English id just go into maccas and order something and id be sweet.

Apparently we (Rosenborg) are close to signing aussie keeper Mark Birighitti. Anyone know if he's any good, or can tell me more about him?

If you need to ask directions in a non-English speaking country I have found that asking young women gets the best results - they are the most likely to have studied at school, sung songs in English, watched English language tv shows and want to practice their english. Never ask someone older than about 35 I've found.

Solid young keeper, has a bright future ahead of him. Was playing with the Newcastle Jets (and subsequently a shit defence) but he has been highly rated for a few years now. Has spent a little bit of time in and around the Socceroos (as third choice only) so he's definitely on the radar of the national setup. Would be a great pickup, very cheap too I'd imagine for you guys. I rate him, and with Euro exposure I think he can really kick on.

Brad Jones off to Feyenoord for 1 year pending a medical after first choice Vermeer did his ACL. He'll probably be competing with Pär Hansson who signed from Helsingborgs last season as well as Warner Hahn once he returns from his knee injury around October. FWIW, Hansson and only played 4 reserve games last year, conceding 5 goals whilst Hahn played 30 games, keeping 9 clean sheets and conceded 38 goals.

Lots of pics of Brad Smith in his preseason training at Liverpool.
Imagine he's staying put then.
