Taking out a valued member of the forum to protect someone spamming your viewpoint. I wonder if anyone would be banned for criticising pro-Trump posts? Umm...both are suspended. :rolleyes:I gave ample warning Wow, banning three of best contributors to this forum because you disagree with their point of view? It's either the Left's point of view or no point of view is it? So this life in a post-fact world? 2 are banned, not because of their point of view but because they consistently pollute threads with abuse at each other and were given warning. 11.mvfc.11 has not been banned. Of the 2 that are, neither are going to stay banned forever. There's nothing else to say on the matter. I would like to thank you profusely for banning ardtho. THANK YOU! god, you're not to smart .....when i'm gone, you going to get 100% of the 442 donkeys attacking your post, not the 20% you now get ok not 100%, you might get the greek 442 donkey not attacking one of your greek is great post god dammit, you're right! I hereby declare you as my proxy to deflect all criticism from me to you. next time I will defend you by charging your enemies with my donkey! you have only one donkey? Only need one! How do Trump supporters feel about the recent appointments?

Wouldn't say I'm a "supporter", more someone who given the choice between Trump/Clinton I'd go Trump.
In any case, I'm somewhat disappointed. I thought the GOP had moved on from their bullshit anti-marijuana, anti-gay marriage social conservatism. Similarly, I thought Trump would take the GOP away from it's neo-con foreign policy. I wanted a socially libertarian party that didn't go around invading everywhere, but it seems we're back to the Dubbya days.

+xHow do Trump supporters feel about the recent appointments? I am far from a trump supporter. I enjoy the chaos that comes from the lefts failure. From the beginning I wanted Sandy. The difference between Crooked Killary and Trump is we are far more likely to go to war with killary. No one should hold her as an example as progressive whatever that means. The left was so worried about arguing about transitioning gay vegetable labelling they didn't realise how intolerable they were to the working class.

+xNot sure why that image didn't work but pasted below -PB I think the context of those 2 posts and the stories behind them are vastly different then comparing them side by side. I get that this election had big implications world wide, but can someone tell me why the hell would people in Australia go out of there way to protest Trumps election. What did they think they were achieving in this? other than social media trendiness? Meanwhile the very traits that people protest Trump for can be found in Malcolm Turnbull and Pauling Hanson... Where were the protests after those election results??? This SJW - selfie me marching against Trump in Australia just makes me wanna puke.

+x+xCommunists protesting democracy? Shocking. Yeah I wouldn't expect anything else from anarchists and the far-left. I'm referring more so to the centre-left protesters in the U.S They're not protesting an election result, they're protesting the "policies" and values of the president-elect. Democracy doesn't end with an election and the right to process is crucial to a healthy democracy.

I may not be understanding the point you're trying to make (I guess that's because I'm a dipstick ) but I think you're trying to say that in a properly fair and democratic election there's always a group of people that want another candidate to win? Of course, if those people feel strongly about the situation what is wrong with voicing that opinion? Beyond those, there are probably a few advocating undemocratic ideas. There's also a good number that are against the current electoral college system that has given Trump the victory and there are very good arguments as to why that should change and totally democratic. My point is that there isn't anything inherently wrong with protesting and in fact outside of voting expressing your opinion is one of the most democratic things you can do.

I didn't hear any of these protesters prior to the election protesting the democratic system. Is it having a bitch when convenient? Something you know a lot about.

That doesn't mean that people can't voice their discontent on issues that matter to them. Additionally, there's a clear difference between a highly divisive figure like Trump and the average run of the mill Republican candidate. Complaints about the electoral college system have been around for a very long time. In fact, I was watching CSPAN the night before the election and they were taking calls on what they would change about the system and the most popular change from Republican, Democrat and Independent callers alike was to scrap the electoral college system. Would a particularly distasteful situation (for them) caused by the system, raise the voices of discontent? I think that's pretty reasonable.

The whole "Trump is not my president" bullshit does make them look salty. There was very little global coverage of the electoral college system until Trump won, then it was a huge deal when he did. No system is perfect. We're forced to vote for dumb or dumber in Oz.

+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+xCommunists protesting democracy? #NotMyPresident says otherwise Yep hard to see any nuance at all in that. Couldn't possibly be that people are saying that Trump doesn't represent the values that they want in their president. Couldn't possibly be that an election doesn't represent the values of one person or group of individuals but a nation as a whole. That would be a dictatorship you dipstick. So why does this happen right after an election? At least give him a chance. But of course a Republican wins, a bunch of salty tards need to protest because it's a Republican. I didn't hear any of these protesters prior to the election protesting the democratic system. Is it having a bitch when convenient? Something you know a lot about. There were people protesting him before the election. He's going to get a chance, in case you haven't noticed there has been the beginnings of an orderly transition of power. Yeah they're salty but I don't really see a problem with that. There are circumstances that it's ok to be aggrieved by the situation. It's not worth debating that point really because people will have different points of view and will either think the protest is dumb or not. All I'm saying is, protesting isn't undemocratic and most of those people aren't trying to turn the US into a dictatorship. I feel certain media and the association with trade unions and student activism (oh the horror) has some how made protesting a bad thing. The reality is it's quite a pure form of democratic free speech and as long as it's done peacefully, it should be tolerated or even encouraged. As for systems, it's chalk and cheese. Our system is way better and with the STV system we have, we can vote for whoever we think is the best candidate without having our vote wasted. The problem is that there are enough supporters of "dumb and dumber" that they're still the major 2 parties. The balance of power is much more likely to change here than in the US. The electoral college system is an anachronism that was put in place because 200 years ago, collating results over such a massive area was difficult. Railroads didn't even exist back then. When you're electing one person to represent the entire country, it makes sense to do it purely on the popular vote.
