FFA to Wellingtons rescue. No way in hell was the Auckland crowd bigger than Newcastle. They only had one stand like Gold Coast half full.

Gold Coast would announce 4K+ when the real figure would be around 1200, I was up there once and almost came close to counting the entire crowd lol.

Today's welly crowd is also a bullshit figure, the old Auckland kings would play there with people in both stands and that would normally register 5-6k, no way they hit that with one stand open that was nowhere near full.

Wellington are one year into their long goodbye. Lowy Jnr bottled the decision last year and it may prove a big mistake if attendances stagnate this year which is where they're heading

In for a huge few weeks coming up that will hopefully consolidate the 13k figure I'd love for us to maintain this year.

Coming up:

Roar/WSW - 14,000 (weather looks iffy but if it clear it could be higher)
Jets/Welly - 9,000 (this is Boxing Day and the Jets are up to fifth. Should be five figures so again going on the lower scale)
Adl/SFC - 10,000 (also Boxing Day so should be over 10k but this would have sold out if the Reds were firing
City/Glory - 10,000 (Tues public holiday + free kick + spillover from cricket)
MV/CCM - 21,000 (always draws well +spillover from cricket. Should be higher hopefully)

64,000. Could push 70k if a few things go well.

I thought the crowds seemed small at some of the HAL games this last weekend.

I've seen some WSW fans say they are boycotting their temporary stadium.

A boycott is probably the wrong wording? That would suggest they aren't happy that the government is building them what will be probably the best stadium in Australia? Not going because it's inconvenient maybe more accurate?

Not going because their eyesight isn't strong enough ?

PAX for BR v WSW now at 15212. Would be good to get the 15K + but we mightn't quite make it.

So a few years back some BBL games were getting 6-7k, The crowd average for A-league 06/07 was like 14.5k so we lost around 2-3k per game since 07 what was the issue?. I just looked at the crowds from both and compared both and this is what I found. Anyone know why we got the push in 06/07 and what went wrong hence the shit TV Rights deal with no FTA except 1 "prime time game". Many fans still have FTA that's the issue.

March 4 2016 crowd was 13'157 so bit disappointing. 

Two days before XMas, 13k is more than respectable.
