I would like the biggest world football stories of the day in the world football section. This has been happening for a while. Doesnt make sense.

they have way too many AF stories so try to fit them all in by sticking em in the WF part.

First thing in the morning, world news stories tend to headline the world news section.

As the day goes on, the world goes to bed, snores, farts and does fuck all else until much, much later. Meanwhile, all hell is breaking loose in Australia (-ish). And I have too many stories and not enough high-profile places to put them. So they get put at the top of the World News (especially if they are stories about OS Aussies as they usually are early in the day...) and the world news gets shunted down one line at a time...

:cry: What did WF ever do to you? Maybe you need to revamp the home page.

Yeah, like taking WORLD off the WORLD NEWS header? NEWS EXTRA perhaps??

And you can't see the problem with world news not headlining the world news section??
Can I suggest setting things up like skysports do?? Alternatively...makea bigger section for the damn headlines! Because when I look at the page and the tops tory in 'world football' is something domestic, I stop reading and head straight for the Forums and Skysports.

The world news section this morning.

As the day goes on, nothing actually happens in the rest of the world until round about now.

So those same stories will have to stay there all day while I hide away all the breaking Australian news stories during the day? I don't think so.

I choose not do that as it's not providing the best service for the vast majority of our readers.

All the world news stories are there, they're just not at the top of that news queue. Today for example, there was a match report on almost every champions league match, post match reaction stories plus all the other news of interest from around the world in about 25 different world news stories.

I have this thing where I work night shift, So I'm actually awake when there's stuff going on over in europe, and asleep in the morning when you're posting that news.

Solution; Bigger Aussie Football section!!

But I should have to go hunting for that because Patrick Kisnorbo wants a sun-tan?

They should put a box for the league tables (like what there is with the popular articles). I was just thinking about that last night.

Personally, I don't like the layout of the homepage. I don't hate it either. I look for articles through the forum.

It doesn't flow very well does it?? Perhaps they should have a Feng Shui expert take a look at it??

Wellington Pheonix does not fit under world football. The Football Federation of Australia owns them. I think. You know what I mean. NO lame excuse please.

They already do. By putting Australian footy stories in the world football section the site flows in one direction. That direction is Australian. Its very peaceful. Espescially for the editors. Gone are the days where you had to go outside australia to find a websites worth of football stories though aye? :(

I hardly ever go to the homepage. I have an RSS feed set up in FF and just use that drop down menu to read the headlines and click on a few.

I google search "442" then press the enter forums sublink or whatever its called.

I go the homepage and check the big headlines, if nothing grabs me I move onto the forums.

but generally i spend a bit of time on the headlines
