+xAdd Nottingham Forest to the list of clubs (Brighton, Swansea, Derby, Aston Villa, Fulham, Sheffield Wednesday) said to be monitoring Jackson Irvine. This might indicate that Forest have dropped their rumoured pursuit of Luongo. got a source?

+x+xdo you know much about gabriel cleur? has he had any game time with virtus entella? his wiki has him down for 1 game in the serie b last season. Not specifics but Entella youth did really well last season making the final of the cup and 3rd in the league league 3 points above Roma. Serie A and B sides are in the same youth comps split into groups. His involvement with the first team show promise but as armenakas said there is a large gap in Italy. He came back to Australia in the break and was doing sprint training with someone on the forum. I think he said that Cleur had offers from Serie C promising to play him. His youth coach got promoted to the first team job and brought Cleur on for the final game of the season. Before that he had been on the bench a few times and was doing really well in the youth team. His youth coach seemed to really like him. I'm not sure if the coach has stayed the same, however, if it has, he could potentially get a go. Otherwise, I'd love to see him loaned to a smaller Serie B team or even Belgian division 2, like Armenakas. He could be a real wildcard for the World Cup with a season of senior football behind him. He apparently progressed really quickly over a short period of time. Regardless, he needs senior football now.

+xI'm not a professional footballer, but even in my current profession I get satisfaction that isn't purely derived from getting paid every fortnight. And I've turned down higher paying jobs for ones that i get greater satisfaction out of. So I don't really see your point Bundoora Brah. Do you think all our best players should just go and play in the UAE and China so they can get paid as much as possible? True but a footballer only has a 10-15 year career compared to 40+ for most people.

Virtus Entella has brought in a right back on loan from Roma. This porbably means we will see Cleur go out on loan. http://www.entella.it/stagione/news/item/1405-colpo-per-la-difesa-arriva-de-santis-dalla-roma.html

According to the Mirror, Irvine - who was the club's record signing until this summer's successful move for Liam Boyce - is a £1 million target for the recently-promoted Seagulls ahead of their debut campaign in the Premier League. But despite the Australian international being linked with several top-flight and Championship clubs since the turn of the year, we understand Albion have received no such offer from Brighton at this stage. http://www.burtonmail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/latest-brighton-bid-burton-albion-158729

He was already at the club in the youth setup but Luca Da Silva has signed his first contract with Willem II. He is expected to play with Jong Willem II this season. http://www.willem-ii.nl/Willem-II/Nieuws/2017/07/19/DaSilva.aspx

Agreed mate, when you're a kid in the back yard kicking a ball, do you think of getting paid? No.

+xAnd even if their bank balances have benefited, at the end of the day if their careers are completely stuffed or at best set back 3-5 years, what is the bloody point? Is the ONLY reason to be a professional footballer to earn money? Surely not. why do you go to work?

+x+x+x+xThat'd be awesome if he got a starting spot. Big benches are a concern. really good to hear an update though. hopefully he isnt benched in china as well. how many foreigners do they have? clearly the club are not going to release him - I hope he and Spiranovic's experiences in China serve as warnings to other talented Aussies to stay the fakark away from China, and hopefully all of Asia. There bank balances from the move will prove otherwise no they wont. didnt work out for kruse, holland, troisi, mitchell, vidosic, griffiths, and thwaite. their "money bag" chinese clubs either didnt pay them or refused to pay them and the PFA had to step in to get some payments made. it might be the case that kruse and holland didnt get a cent of what was owed to them. and what happens to these dodgy clubs? nothing.

+xNow that Sneijder has been released, there's no chance Galatasaray would make an offer for Troisi, is there? LOL
