Waz Just thinking the same re pillaging tards , that's why we have to keep an eye on their thread , lol Can't see either Brown or O'Toole leaving or been allowed to leave , we are pretty lean at the back with Bowles and Avaram still out , only leaves us with Jack Jade Luke Corey Jai Ingam ? ? Conor O'Toole Both Ingam and O'Toole are 6ft + so could provide CB cover also we have young Aaron Reardon and Pepper .........,,,

Bowles and Avraam are both back in full training and will play in tomorrow's internal friendly. Particularly impressed with Bowles coming back so soon, hope its not too early.

+xCorey Brown on the move South? Roars players' player of the year last year? with one year left on his contract? With 2 weeks to the season start? Having been an ever present in pre-season?? .... that has to be the worst rumour ever or Aloisi will have a lot of explaining to do lol The january transfer window opens up in about 10-12 weeks, he could be signing then. Brown is probably the best Australian LB in the HAL but not yet good enough to go overseas. where do Roar plays go when they're not good enough for overseas - to the vuck

Looks like we'll see some of the kids at least get a run off the bench this weekend. Expecting to start like this: Thomas Geria - Williams - Donachie - Broxham Valeri - Sanchez Ingham - George - Austin Berisha

Josh Hope a potential selection bolter as Melbourne Victory looks to cover international losses
A TEENAGE attacking midfielder from Tasmania could be Melbourne Victory’s selection bolter for its grand final rematch against Sydney FC on Saturday night. Coach Kevin Muscat will be forced to shuffle the decks for the Round 1 encounter at Etihad Stadium, with three players — Mark Milligan, James Troisi and Kosta Barbarouses — away on international duty.
Tasmanian teenager Josh Hope in line for Melbourne Victory A-League debut

I believe Victiry are still looking for George's right foot ... apparently it's missing.

Looks like he found it. George was a good pick up. He just needs to get his fitness up to 100% and he will do well.

@ Iknowbest
We know two things about your man George. He's very fast, and he's got a good left boot.
We don't know why he's been playing in turkeys second division for two years though. There has to be a reason, maybe he just likes turkey? Or maybe it's his attitude? Or maybe he fixed whatever it was while he was there?
On the night the boy ran fast and hard so can't fault his effort, but he only had one shot which missed and 1 in 3 of his passes went astray - but the assumption is he'll get better - so let's see.

Austin and Ingham however will never be starters that can threaten opposition.. The starting 11 will at the very least match any team but the bench is weak.

Tim Michell, Moreland Leader MORELAND Zebras have strengthened their engine room with the signings of former A-League midfielders Rashid Mahazi and Jake Barker-Daish. Mahazi made 73 appearances for Melbourne Victory during a four-year career with the club, while Barker-Daish featured 26 times in the national competition for Gold Coast United and Adelaide United. The 24-year-old has since had stints with South Melbourne, Richmond and Melbourne Knights in the National Premier League. “We definitely needed to strengthen the midfield,” Zebras coach Fausto De Amicis said. “I thought during the year in some of the games, we identified that our midfield was good but probably not strong enough and experienced enough to lead the team. “We thought we could have been a lot more disciplined, a lot stronger, a lot more mobile in the midfield.” Jake Barker-Daish (right) fends off an opponent while playing for Richmond in the NPL. Picture: Brendan Francis.Mahazi and Barker-Daish are close friends and their double signing represents a strong statement of intent from the NPL2 West runner-up. Mahazi, 25, is a defensive-minded midfielder, while Barker-Daish enjoys pushing forward from the centre of the park. “I know (Mahazi) wants to achieve something,” De Amicis said. “We are on the same wavelength. “The club is very enthusiastic, as we were last year, and very ambitious. So is he. That fits perfectly for us.” De Amicis said the former Northcote City player had opted to join the Zebras despite fielding interest from several of Victory’s A-League rivals at the end of the 2016-17 campaign. “I am sure Mahazi could have gone to any club in the NPL or A-League,” he said. “But the fact is he chose to come to us after sitting down, having a good chat and understanding our plan, what are objectives were. “He accepted, he appreciated and realised we were very genuine and happy to work with him. The fact he said yes was a delight.” After being beaten in the NPL2 playoff by Dandenong City, Moreland moved swiftly to re-sign defender Tiziano Slongo and first-choice goalkeeper Andre Janesse for 2018. “He’s a true pro, he can never get enough of training, he wants to be challenged as much as possible,” De Amicis said of the shot stopper. “It was great for him to stay I definitely wanted him to stay.” Moreland Zebras sign former A-League duo Rashid Mahazi and Jake Barker-Daish for 2018 NPL season | Leader

+xHopefully Sanchez is fit as I can't see Milligan starting now after the shift he put in last night. He needs a week off. After game 1 vs Syria he should have been on the bench for game 2. If Sanchez is not ready, perhaps Deng at LB again with Brox pairing with Carl like last week.
