+x+x+x+x+xNot disagreeing with the general idea, just pointing out going from a 52 year old to a 48 year old is hardly generational change. Just letting you know the facts, not having a go. OK and accepted it as such when you posted ... but for me every survey says our supporters are in the main millennials ... so we need the best platform to connect to millennials ... For it became crystal clear when listening to those seminars ... and its actually marketing 101 ... go where your clients are... This is the same midfielder who about 2 months ago was heralding channel TEN as the channel-of-choice for millennials, and suggesting TEN would bring in an upswing of 200-300k viewers. Now, he says scrap TEN, and replace Gallop with Fozzie. slow clap for middie R my stalker go back to AFL. 10 can still work... FFA are so stuffed everything is falling apart. But our future is with out market. You gotta love it when someone gets called out for shite dribble, and their only reply is "go back to AFL". Reckon I'd back my football knowledge over yours pal. MidF proves his credentials with gems like: - at 1pm - "Personally now I would ditch 10 for facebook..." - at 3pm - "10 can still work..." a genius at work.

Perfect storm last night. Cricket and NRL final.Bit still rubbish and consistently lower than sun ratings. BBL almost upon us too. How did prime time change from sat night in one season?.

+xSun STV 33k Sun STV 34k Swamped by the Ashes? STV figures in general seem pretty low for the weekend. Those ratings are terrible but they still comfortably made top 20s for STV on Sunday and top 5 on Saturday. https://tvtonight.com.au/2017/12/sunday-3-december-2017.htmlhttps://tvtonight.com.au/2017/12/saturday-2-december-2017.html

I literally saw a comment on Facebook today someone complaining that Foxtel is to expensive and the A-League should be on FTA tv. I wish I'd have screen shotted it now.

I seen on ten last night they are promoting the shit out of the double header of WBBL this Saturday night. This is going head to head with our glamour fixture of the Sydney derby but you wouldn't know about it.
It will be interesting to see the numbers stack up.

Foxtel pays for sports to be internationally competitive. If sports dont get their pay day, we slip behind international powerhouses.

@select
It was more astonishment that someone didn't know the league was on FTA.

+x@selectIt was more astonishment that someone didn't know the league was on FTA. Plenty of people are only really interested in their team. For that you need to pay for Fox. Games you aren't interested in on FTA are neither here nor there.

We are a third of the way through the season so I thought it was worth putting up average STV ratings per club compared to this point last season.
Victory Last season 93k, This season 79k, -15.1% Wanderers 93k, 78k, -16.1% City 90k, 74k, -17.7% Sydney 90k, 73k, -18.9% Brisbane 90k, 66k, -26.7% Adelaide 80k, 65k, -18.8% Perth 70k, 56k, -20.0% Mariners 64k, 55k, -14.1% Newcastle 62k, 55k, -11.3% Wellington 59k, 46k, -22.0%

+x note that A-League and FFA appears twice, meaning combined they may well be threatening the top two It's interesting that the EPL doesn't figure, as you would assume that it is far more popular than the American sports. I wonder if it is due to the fact that the American sports are on at a much more friendly viewing time here. Also interesting is the absence of any form of cricket.

Perhaps because the "branding" is more heavily based in the top clubs rather than the "EPL"

Definitely would be that, doubt most Australians would be tweeting when the game is in the middle of night.

I wonder how FFA view metrics when ratings are down across the board,by a significant amount? I also wonder how the congress assess the efforts of FFA? Could the current board of FFA ever do anything that would justify there sacking? Will there ever be a sports journalist who approaches the congress members and FFA and asks the hard questions?Is the the media afraid ?
I have never understood how metrics prevent expansion,when the owners pay for all the losses?
