A bit of context helps to explain attendance Victory's poor stuttering season, Brisbane's horrific season, Wanderers poor season and playing at a horrible place. I think staleness has a role but crucially where each team sits suggests a downturn in attendance. As long as we have a salary cap we will have fluctuations in crowds. The problem is a big crowd in Newcastle will not turn around averages the way a big crowd in Victory can.

This competition rewards mediocrity, for all of victorys stuttering they will most likely finish 3rd..that's just one spot below the Jets...in fact both Melbourne teams will get a home final and nobody seems to give a crap.
