On another note, it's interesting to see there are a handful of Korean players but no Japanese players in CSL? I thought being one of the regions powerful nations, Japanese players may be in demand for the Chinese clubs. I guess not?

I thought being one of the regions powerful nations, Japanese players may be in demand for the Chinese clubs. I guess not? yes currentlly there is not any Japanese players in CSL and very few in history too, basically playing in CSL demands players to be physically strong rather than technical ability, compareing with J-League CSL plays in much faster tempo and A lot of the teams are very physical and make you fight for everything. I think that's why teams prefer korea, Australia and Uzbekistan players. but since CSL removed the AFC quote there is actually 4 Asian players in the whole League, we don't know if it a correct move or not, but there had been many succesful AFC players in CSL history, like Ahn Jung-Hwan, Roda Antar, Griffiths Brothers etc, hopes as time flews we could see more and more Asian players in China again
