Don't think he should be allowed to play in a League game until October. :P
There's no need to hurry. There is a need to get it absolutely right though. It's not as if they aren't sitting and deliberating on it, they just haven't released the decision.
It's been well reported that it has to be more than 4 weeks suspension because the MRP are reiviewing at as a more serious offence. Because it caused actual damage to the head of another player and because he's got form you can assume it's going to be huge and that has caused a problem for the MRP itself.
They don't want to do what they have to do. Because they are going to hand out something massive they need their reasoning to be bullet proof. It is certain that there is a risk it could end a players career (a la Muscat). They'll need their lawyers to write the reasoning and they'll need to get an escape clause in there somehow allowing him to count Cup games and maybe even pre-seasons as "time served".
It's unfortunate he has so much prior and it was a particularly damaging incident - taking out the head of a player. Pity it wasn't a clean goal. Would have made a great game magnificent.
