+x+xSo has any of this happened? Controlled flares, music etc (Haven't watched anything other than Victory games so far) Bunnings just banned putting onions on top of a snag at their sausage sizzles because dropped onions are a slipping hazard. We're not getting flares. They could use Bunnings extinguishers, pumps and hoses to put them out Crap fan engagement is just the beginning.

+xThe Rubens played/opened the Sydney derby. I like the Rubens and all, but it's not the right place for a game. Yeah, I don’t mind them but that performance just seemed soooo out of place. For better crowd engagement it’s obvious that gimmicks aren’t the answer. Lower ticket prices and mending relations with + reducing policing of active support would eventually get us back to 2013/14 when there was a sense of excitement surrounding the league. It feels like so long ago these days.

+xAm I the only one who has seen Bohemian Rhapsody recently and thinking if there was an impromptu playing of Queen at half time of a match, the crowd would go just fucking nuts? The human race has form here, exhibit A: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZnBNuqqz5g
Couple of nights ago I saw it in the cinema not knowing what to think how ex commie europeans would think of it all. Fuck that. Everyone was spilling out into the aisles and down the front of the screen jumping around and singing through the whole damned movie. Not bad considering half don't speak English and they never got to hear it until after the velvet revolution 10 years after its release. But they are there for the music :exclamationmark:

Dome said the use of music was just one of the many initiatives the club had come up with to enhance the matchday experience during the 2018-19 season, with pyrotechnics also used throughout Sunday's game.
They have also offered up a $10,000 prize to giveaway to one spectator if the attendance surpasses 10,000 and plan to release "safe smoke" at upcoming matches. "Safe smoke is set on the ground, not in the stands, and it'll be let off at predetermined times, like when the players walk out, when a goal is scored, when the players walk back.
Obviously you want to create as much atmosphere as you can with the smoke and it's been tested, there's no issues, but we did need a licensed pyrotechnic director to release it and we need to make sure that's in place.
But we're hopeful we'll have it by the game against Wanderers".

"The sentence should have been, 'I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be Russia.'" "I think that probably clarifies things pretty good by itself," Trump said.

+x+x+x+xSurely this is a joke, but then again when I think joke I think FFA. Don't believe all you read? The article literally has direct quotes from Greg O'Rourke When the dust had settled a few days later O'Rourke admitted the faux pas, which he put down to him ''going off script a bit" and musing about how rugby league clubs he had watched in recent weeks had used music to try to drum up crowd interest during scrums, knock-ons and other periods when the game had stopped. https://www.smh.com.au/sport/soccer/a-league-chief-faces-music-but-there-are-bigger-issues-20180921-p50553.html

+x+xIronic the ffa is trying to duplicate what it systematically tried to destroy in active support and atmosphere. So many people were trying to explain this but fell on deaf ears. Even on here there were absolute muppets who argued against flares and the importance of active support. Interesting turn in events Its not really an attempt to duplicate atmosphere, rather to provide a sanitised form that won't carry the same negative connotations that the media love reporting on. What makes football culture and atmosphere so engaging and unique is that its largely organic and somewhat "anti-authoritarian" by nature. The fact the suits don't get that after all these years defies belief. It really is unbelievable. The FFA hasn't learnt a thing.

Whilst Ariana Grande plays over the P.A
