Nelly Yoa stands by all his claims and says ‘my records speak for itself’Football- by Staff writers with AAP
- Source: FOX SPORTS
NELLY Yoa insists claims made in recent days questioning the credibility of his sporting CV are wrong and stands by the profile he has supposedly concocted over a number of years. The 29-year-old says he has been on the cusp of A-League deals with Melbourne City and Newcastle Jets, rejected Perth Glory and Melbourne Heart, enjoyed trials with English clubs Queens Park Rangers and Chelsea and had ambitions to push for a 2014 Socceroos World Cup spot dashed by injuries. In the last week, those claims have been deconstructed and ridiculed on social media, with clubs mentioned distancing themselves from the links.FULL STORY: Who is Nelly Yoa? Australian sport’s epic hoaxTWITTER SOLVES THE CASE: ‘Chelsea star, Roos bolter’ He also suggested he was on Collingwood’s radar for an AFL gig, but the club told foxsports.com.au on Monday that he was not up to standard after a couple of sessions.Despite this, Yoa refuses to change his story and when asked by foxsports.com.au for his current sporting status, he declared he is “currently training with an AFL team” - but would not reveal which one, adding that detail is “irrelevant at this moment”.As for the doubts over his trials in England, and disputed claims over other parts of his sporting career, Yoa was steadfast, declaring “I firmly stand on what I said”.He added: “These claims are false and inaccurate.“My records speak for itself.”“Certainly no recollection of this and no records either,” a QPR spokesman told AAP of Yoa’s trial, while Chelsea have denied knowledge of him as well.Yoa came to prominence again when he wrote a front page article for The Age newspaper slamming gangs in his Melbourne community and also appeared on radio and TV.But the Sudanese community says he isn’t a youth worker, and is just a self- promoter.“He has never ... worked with South Sudanese youths before,” South Sudanese Community Association’s Richard Deng told AAP.Now the rest of Mr Yoa’s claims are unravelling. He’s been found to have plagiarised part of his article in Fairfax newspapers, while American Express says he has never been one of its brand ambassadors in Australia, despite his claims.Mr Yoa told media he had a meeting with Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews over the youth crime issue on Wednesday. But the premier’s office says no such meeting or contact has occurred. And English soccer club Queens Park Rangers, where he says he spent five months in 2013, could not substantiate his playing claims.“Certainly no recollection of this and no records either,” a QPR spokesman told AAP.Mr Yoa has threatened “slothful” journalists with legal action. “I can confirm I did go on trials with both Chelsea and QPR. Confirm this with the club if you must,” he said on Twitter on Sunday. The only youth work Mr Yoa can be found to be involved in is with Afri-Aus Care as a youth coordinator and board member, according to the small charity’s website.Mr Yoa told a local newspaper he took sprinting superstar Usain Bolt to meet 11 “Apex gang members” in February.Crime by gangs of youths of African heritage has been an issue in Melbourne for a couple of years, but came to a head when Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said Victoria was failing to deal with growing “gang violence” after several high profile incidents in December.=======================================================
I reckon this guy should forget about his sporting career and focus on acting. Clearly very good at it,,,, how can you speak so much lies and bullshit with such a straight face?

Article is 3 days old, Nelly has now acknowledged that it was all lies... Move on to the more important issue of supposedly reputable news sources printing cut-and-paste articles without any fact-checking.

Our mate Nelly Yoa is back at it again, having been caught sneaking into the AFL Brownlow Medal presentation. https://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/more-news/serial-fameseeker-nelly-yoa-sneaks-into-brownlow-medal/news-story/868de1f4af2358dfc2e704895e84196eIt’s understood he hid in a toilet before he was found by security. It’s believed he has now been banned from Crown casino. “This was a one off issue, an unfortunate one, but it was handled very swiftly,” an AFL spokesman said.

And you just delete "sold a story to" from my post so that your misquote can keep your whole theory together, yeah? Delete the word 'community' from 'community newspaper" to keep your theory together, yeah? No reading comprehension in your primary school?

All these posts seemed under the impression that it was an actual article published in an Indian newspaper. No reading comprehension in your primary school? Apparently not since I find your post inscrutable and don't know what you're talking about. My only "theory" was that there is no Indian community newspaper that published the story, but that Nelly wrote and published it himself on the internet. And now we're talking about it as though he did something interesting or funny, which is a bit weird. I clicked on it expecting him to have duped another inept reporter or something and was disappointed to see that it was just Nelly himself writing self-aggrandizing gibberish on a blog.
