Four more automatic slots will be filled by two more clubs from South Korea, one from Japan and one from China, while four more spots will be filled by teams competing in the play-off round.

any idea who the jets are playing?

I thought it changed and we only got 1 1/2 spots

Would be nice but of course we'll get the 9 figure spending Chinese clubs, a Japanese club & South Korea club.  

We'll always get that but last season we had 3 former champions and the east final were two teams from our group

that's what I thought. I guess it was for 21/22? i'll double check

Edit: yeah its 21/22. it might happen if the a-league clubs don't get their asses into gear

Aussie clubs need to do their bset in 2019 otherwise Auastalia will be mostlikely got 1+1 spots in 2021 & 2022

How is Qatar at the top of the table? and what have the Thai's done to go so far past us?

I'm not sure at all how these points are calculated or collected.

This actually suits us in a way.

We are at a big financial disadvantage to the other Asian sides. People may not realise, but the host club pays the hosting expenses of their opponents. When they travel to Australia, those clubs send half a fucking army of support staff. Unless you're Melbourne Victory or WSW, you're probably losing a fist full.

Financially it would work out better for the game as a whole if only our two best (and richest) qualify.

Should be the winner from the playoff between the Indonesian and Singaporean qualifiers at home, then an away trip to Japan.

Hope Jets do well. 

Do our players still fly over there in cattle class?

I thought this had changed? Or there was a major cap on the amount? Otherwise I assume our clubs would also all fly business class and live it up in top 5 start hotels, as well as bring even more staff, but I don't think that's the case.

I remember those AFC delegates who whined about their less expensive buffet that didn't have lobster in it.  

Considering the piddling prize money on offer & the expenses involved I don't blame teams for not taking it too seriously.  

That would be a fun qualifier.
