Colours and pattern are truly unreal and needs to stay.

But that bevel looks like something from England Medievil period. It's kinda shit.

Even plain would be better than that bevel. Or gather heaps of other team logo and change it according to what looks good.

Chapman spent most of his time in Korea playing DM. So probably looking at a Chapman/Kone/Pasquali midfield at present

This just showed up on the IP Australia website. Trademark Image

Love the bevels but what's with the odd slopey bit that points to about 41 minutes past 3, neither here nor there.

I thought i'd be the only one on here to say they don't mind it but it's clearly got a relatively positive reaction.

Besides some reasonable player signings it's the only other thing i can find positive that they've done to date so far.

Love the bevels but what's with the odd slopey bit that points to about 41 minutes past 3, neither here nor there.

According to their website press release, this is what the logo means:

In a stament released by the club on Tuesday, they reveal the design has been inspired by the aerial view of real estate development (rooftops) in Australia’s fastest growing corridor, borrowing architectural cues from the iconic West Gate Bridge – the gateway to the West.

The logo’s signature green colour symbolises freshness and the evergreen community of cultures residing and growing in the West.

But unlike many club logos, United’s breaks from convention of not being encased in a crest, which the club believes brings an “air of confidence”.

“The result is a minimalist and refreshing design which reflects the club’s bold, innovative and aspirational ambitions, both on and off the field,” Bisetto said.

At least that confirms what everyone has been thinking. The bid is all about real estate. Not football, like you would think, but real estate.

i would like to think the green represents the meshing of the high tech stuff and greenery on walls plus the energy saving features built into buildings to take of more sunlight.

also heard that we have some buildings that use sea water that cool buildings down.

Only a wanker in PR or marketing could come up with such bullshit.

On par with Nike's explanation of the 'waves' inspiration on the Socceroos jerseys.
