Now it's over to Sains to find a new club, ideally one where he is played as a 6.

+xAs well as Gaël Clichy, Behich will also be playing alongside Emmanuel Adebayor, Demba Ba, Arda Turan and Robinho. Pretty cool. That team is such a blast from the past! Had no idea Emre (former Inter, Newcastle) is still playing and captaining at 38.

It might be related to New Zealand but i would not be surprised if Sarpreet Singh gets picked up by an overseas club if the lad does well in this u20 world cup in Poland, he had a great game against Honduras.

+xOsama Malik's Al-Batin side was relegated. If we decide to replace Isa with a local player, then I wouldn't be against bringing him back to AU. underrated player. imo one of the best DM's in the local game. very average CB though - and this is where city tried to slot him. he can do it in a pinch but he is wasted. if you are going to play a single #6 he is great for it.

Needs a really good coach to bring out the best in him - wouldn’t be upset if he signed in Orange next year either.

Verbeek might decide to go with Boland at DM with Lia and/or D'Arrigo as back up. Jakobsen and either Elsey or Marrone at CB with a young CB.

As a DM, which Roar are likely to be playing with two of next season, he’s decent.

"Sauces suggest that the Mariners have signed both Sam Silvera (ex WSW) & Mark Moric (HNK Rijeka) to scholarship deals". https://twitter.com/Wandererstragic/status/1132259183082893314Moric was previously signed on a scholarship contract at Newcastle before joining Rijeka.

+xThe Mariners always sign our sloppy seconds. I think Silvera is better than that. The Mariners used to get all the Western Sydney youth when there was nowhere else to go. Now they pick up those players developed by Western Sydney who were not offered a development contract. Shabow went to Newcastle first, then went to the Mariners.

I don't see anything wrong with this at all... Wanderers clearly don't want him, let him go... If i was a Wanderers supporter the bigger issue i'd be concerned about is the way youth are treated, considering Babbel gave a few academy players debuts this season and is letting a third of them go... like whats the point... why not just play the kids who you think are legit, and build them up... Tokich, Majok, Roberts, Constable, Silvera were either linked to the Mariners or let go this season... whats the point? You have to invest!!!!! Youth development in this country is a merry-go-round...

+xJason Davidson linked with Besiktas This is a cool link, i saw the article yesterday, Turkish clubs are renowned to be linked with every player under the sun, but would be happy if this were true.

Not sure if this would be a good move, if true. AFAIK, Besiktas normally play a back 4 so Davidson would not be able to play in his best position at LWB. Might be looking at him as a squaddie.

So Jakobsen will be our captain next year, good player but surely a downgrade.
