Great win for Ange in Kobe. They got a red card around 60min while leading 1:0 and managed to get a 2nd to seal it.

Nagoya were close to actually winning but conceded late. Mistake from Langerak for the first goal.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

+xNagoya were close to actually winning but conceded late. Mistake from Langerak for the first goal. It's disappointing how he's become more error prone. In hindsight he should have gotten a loan in his 2nd season at Dortmund. He just never put his foot down. I like that Ryan got out of Valencia as best he could. Genk was great for match practice.

Great ball sees Hrustic through on goal but Zieler saves. Massive chance.

Top assist by Hrustic. Nice flat lob through the defence.

Hrustic is technically sound. A real intelligent head. Hopefully he'll play more this season.

No Dougall for Barnsley. Probably still building fitness on that broken leg.

Luzern played in the Swiss league last night in their first game and juric wasn’t even on the bench. Any news on him?

Maty started against Fulham and came off at half time with Brighton leading 1-0.
Brighton’s 3rd choice GK Steele played the second half and conceded 2 goals, with Brighton falling to a 2-1 defeat.

PSV are quite thin at the back so they were always going to get someone. Unfortunately they're looking at signing Baumgartl from Stuttgart. He's young and experienced at bundesliga level. While good for a howler or two, the Dutch League will be a notch down where he'll probably defend quite well. This isn't good news for Sainsbury but now is the time for him to really deliver and prove his worth.

Degenek announced on Twitter that he’s left Al-Hilal. No word on his new club. Can imagine he’s heading back to Red Star

Wow - from all reports from my Saudi friends he was killing it for Al Hilal and was adored there.
They didn’t expect this exit at all.

Maybe Red Star are poor atm, prolly want him back asap. Also, probably fears not being included in future NT games. Maybe he got sick of eating camel and rice also. Could be any of these points and maybe all contributed. I am super happy he left. I think everyone should be.

+xWow - from all reports from my Saudi friends he was killing it for Al Hilal and was adored there. They didn’t expect this exit at all. They signed Jang Hyun-soo two weeks ago, so I imagine the plan was for him to take over the AFC spot. He was permanently banned from the South Korea NT ahead of the Asian Cup for forging documents related to his national service, so unlike Degenek he has no reason not to just chase that Saudi cash now.

I was a little dejected cause he was having a ripper season last year with Red Star and moving into his prime years as a footballer, but sounds like both he and Red Star got offers they couldn't refuse. Hopefully he can relaunch his Euro career now - he's one of my favourite current Socceroos.

I imagine that it's not so much the league that's the problem, but the barbaric medieval fanatical theocratic dictatorship that the league is in.
