With the season getting ever closer, which youth players in your teams are you backing to have a stellar season?
As a Phoenix fan, I'm looking forward to seeing how Ben Waine will go, already with 8 goals in pre-season. His chances will be minimal at the start of the season with school commitments, but he should get some decent minutes in toward the end of the season.

Looking forward to seeing Silvera, Metcalfe, Najjarine. Hope Ivanovic gets more game time to get a better look at him too.

Hopefully this is the year when McGree finally takes the league by the scruff of it’s neck and earns another overseas move.
Al Hassan Toure has been very impressive in the cup.
I’m expecting to see the likes of Brook, Niyongabire, Armiento and Yengi all get mins off the bench throughout the season as well.
Nathan Konstandopoulos isn’t that young but has been good in the cup and I think it’s only a matter of time before he becomes a regular starter.

Elvis Kamsoba has been fantastic in preseason. With Kruse almost guaranteed to spend a bunch of time out injured, I reckon Elvis will make the most of the opportunity.

Another vote for Mcgree, already think he is a class above most but the useless Joyce didn't know what to do with anyone who isn't a centre back.

Thurgate at the Jets and Metcalfe at City. Also if he gets some game time, Brandon Lauton at Victory

For us it’s definitely Ivanovic. Teague and Tilio could get some minutes

Just got a hat trick with the oly whites in Olympic qualification too.

+xThurgate at the Jets and Metcalfe at City. Also if he gets some game time, Brandon Lauton at Victory Thurgate was stepping things up at the tail end of last season but been a tad disappointed with him in preseason/FFA Cup. He's looked really hesitant to try anything, a bit Ridenton-lite. Champness to break out... On the Billboard chart. Honestly thinking we could see big seasons from McGree, Silvera and Ivanovic.

Definitely Metcalfe from City. Has started every game so far and an impress effort especially given the the talent at the club. Has massive wraps from the coach and made a break into the Olyroos line up just recently.

Watch Metcalfe in games v NZ decent player but not on same level as Aidan O’Neil , Mcgree or Jonrou , only played one 1/4 of the 180 mins same as DeSilva who was used as a wide player rather than a 10

Played 78 min a league last year in total, and 3 competitive ffa cup games this year. So to compare him to the three players you mentioned is not like for like. Metcalfe has more ultimate potential just needs the match time.

No one at the Jets really gets me super excited, sadly.
In the league though, I am really looking forward to watching Silvera, Toure, Adam and Najjarine. I also want to see DDS finally have a break out year. I’m also seeing what Elvis can do with a full season and pre-season under his belt.

It’s always good to see new names emerge, last season was DWH, Miller, Ivanovic, Kamsoba, Burgess and the couple of a WSW defenders.
This season I will keep an eye on Toure, Silvera, Adam, Metcalfe, Courtney Perkins has got big wraps at Brisbane if I’m not corrected.
Also with Western United into the fray the likes of Cavallo, Yuel and Seb Pasquali returning would be interesting to see how they go.

Looking forward to seeing what Reno Piscoppo can produce at A league level.

Elvis Kamsoba has the x factor that the a league desperately needs Fabian Monge is a year away but is a real talent McGree will do well and I hope Margush gets a go in goal Wenzell Hall is going to make s name for himself

Have long thought McGree was a cut above A League standard. Can’t wait to see what he can eventually do in Europe. Adelaide buying him is possibly the best piece of transfer business this off season.
Lauton at the Victory is one that’s kind of come out of the blue, seems to have played every pre-season game so far. Will be interesting to see how much game time he sees during the season proper.

He was fit for the cup game against the Jets but Isaac Richards was selected as the bench keeper instead.
