+xHope Brad Smith starts the next game. It'd be nice to see how he plays when he's had game time since we've never seen that from him before. Behich can't buy a cross

How was that denied? What a horrible decision, and how didn’t the ref overrule it? Lol.

+x+x+x+xIt wouldn't be an Australian footballing forum without people bleating about how bad things are going... Even when we're up 3-0 after 30 minutes... You serious. Can you see how bad this Nepal team actually is. They have the physiques of 15 year olds. If we were any good we should have 8-9 by now. If this same team where to line up against a Japan or South Korea we would get embarrassed. A few months ago, our B team played a near full strength South Korea side and was able to match them. Who was in that B team? Bailey Wright. Doubt it. He is a C grade footballer. Still can't believe he is playing. The starting XI was: Redmayne, Grant, Wright, Jurman, Behich, Amini, Jeggo, Brandon O’Neill, Mabil, Duke, Goodwin. Subs that came on were Spiranovic, Petratos, Taggart, Ryan Williams, Smith and Borrello.

+xSomeone needs to teach our players how to play a one touch ball. So many openings are squandered as they need the first touch to control the ball before passing. Terrible. Not sure that they're gonna learn it at this age. It's more a matter for skill acquisition during a player's teenage years

At least in the old days we would smash these teams. Now we struggle to put 3 past them. Get rid of Arnie. He is clueless. Playing the worst brand of football for a very long time.

It's more a matter for skill acquisition during a player's teenage years Surely being in a professional environment and touching a ball 5 days a week would give you enough practice to learn the fucking skill. Most of these guys are based in Europe ffs. How do they get away with it.

I might be able to buy that the linesmen somehow thought that an Aussie player interfered, but the ref was was in a good position and i assume has functioning eyes to see that came off the Nepal player.

Exactly, linesman could have mis-seen it, the ref had no excuse.

I am at the ground. The Aussie intensity dropped off remarkably after we went three up. I’d like to see them put four in the back of the net in the second half. Souttar will be tested against stronger opposition, notwithstanding it’s a good story. He’s too slow on the ball. I imagine Degenek will start against Taiwan.

The pitch seems to have an Aelaide Oval feel to it, a few giraffe touches out there. Not nice.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

If that was my team at HF I would be ripping into them, a few can hold their heads high
Behich has 10mins to make a cross or off
Goodwin needs to get more involved
Maclaren little impact other than two goals (not looking for him at all in attack)
Irvine invisible

Agreed that we need to steer towards more one touch play Mooy I've noticed a lot is quite slow on the ball when he can play a pass 2-3 touches earlier but will go a safer option. A lot of the East and South East Asian nations are being coached that now so it will be important to learn how to defend against it too.
As expected comfortable tonight although a bit scrappy at times and I hope we don't play like this in the 2nd round of qualifiers unlucky for Leckie but I'm sure he'll have more opportunities in the second half. Interesting that the Nepal coach has started arguably their best player on the bench.

Definitely could be a selection of two cheeses for the Nepal number 14 there, which is a pity because he's provided the only football worth watching by Nepal.
