Oar to Macarthur isn't a rumour its a done deal and the club has already announced it.

I wouldn't call Tommy Oar much of a loss to be honest. 

Small clubs losing players is a natural cycle in Football but Mariners have had it easy for 15 years with the salary cap and all the other stupid rules forcing everyone else to play at their level. If they still can't compete then tough shit.

There are a multiple NPL clubs that would give anything to be in the league and they certainly wouldn't be in definately squatting on the cap floor.

They need a new owner. One that will invest the full cap + marquees and coaches.

They're currently an amateur club.  

They need a new owner, it would like to see the FFA or a-league clubs who ever has control of the league try to help them but we don't know who is running the ship!

Looks like the old FFA board put an grenade with the Fox deal where they can't all of a sudden remove it for the clubs sake in running its own ship...

Give them assistance with players such as every a-league club loan its best young player or someone that could fund its foreign contingent if the tightarse owner doesn't want to do it but otherwise the owner needs to go as he's becoming a stain.

agreed, as much as I like an underdog this is what we get with this franchise system.
Charlesworth has nothing to lose regards being out of the top flight of our game when coming last.

Wonder what it costs Mummys from U8's SAP/YL to 16's + girls/women for a number of years.
Then a recently dis solved Western Mariners  (Bathurst) - my son played against them for years.
Then the North Shore Mariners (Northbridgefc) link - countless ages/teams ripping parents.
Those not selected for Rep but still paying Rep fees ($2k up) play in Association Club Football.

I think Oar is well and truly past it, but the team was putting in more fight before his departure was announced. He was captaining them at the time. 

A League rules state that should a team finish last in three consecutive seasons that team can be relegated.

i dont think the CCM should be relegated, not while we are expanding our competition but they do need to be sanctioned for being shit for a long time. 

i would just disqualify them from the FFA cup.
