Brought up a catholic/schools/3kids catholic schooling one left.
After supporting the elder 2 going to school mass's etc you know, this is our religious path yaddayadda and I'd sit there in bated breath when the Priest had his time to pass on their wonderous pov in our lives, I used to say to my wife, wtf do I always have to be made feel I'm guilty living my/our ways of life ????? when they should be uplifting us and why don't you look at yourselves whilst at it.

Our legal system just like many things needs reviewing/updating/finer tuning, this outcome proves it.

The only thing that needs reviewing/updating/fine tuning is the Victorian court of appeals, who found him guilty 2:1, whilst the highest court in the land found him emphatically not guilty 7:0.  It raises serious questions about the impartiality of the courts and jury, to find him guilty when no credible evidence was presented, and defence evidence that contradicted the accuser’s testimony was ignored.  It makes me very concerned about how the mainstream media and public court of opinion has managed to infiltrate the legal system to pressure an outcome that was clearly flawed, biased and unjust.

But as sure as Hell he should never have been convicted on the basis of the evidence.  And then the Victorian Appeals Court decision.  Judge Maxwell speciificially should be removed from his office. Weinberg OTOH is an absolute gun.  He was the only one of the three who looked beyond their own prejudices and desire to appease the mob.

I'm just thankful that the High Court exists as the Loony Left tries to subvert the Rule of Law for anyone who isn't them. We all should be.

So, basically, eveything I said turned out to be correct and all or most of you are WRONG yet again.

Even the Pope came out and said, "we are witnessing the re-enactment of the persecution of Christ, by victimising an innocent man". the Pope was also 100% certain that Pell was innocent.

I warned you all that there was no grounds to convict Cardinal Pell. This trial by media showcase by the ABC and anti religious socialist vigilantes was so deplorable and shameful it wasn't funny.

Now hang your heads in shame. You need hard evidence to convict a man, not hearsay.

Now before anyone jumps on their high horse, I would like to say that I condemn sexual harrassment and abuse in all its forms and from anyone including people in influential places.

But, I would also like to add, i fundamentally believe Cardinal Pell is an innocent man. I do not believe any of the testimonies stacked up, in particular how it was alleged that he molested boys in the iconostasis.

I believe that in all likelihood, he was stitched up. And that there was a media frenzy to bring a Cardinal down to dent the Caholic faith. I also believe that religion in general is being unfairly targeted by imbeciles and this manifested itself into this saga.

But what is 100% true is the fact that the guilty verdict was fundamentally flawd and very crooked. People can not be convicted on such a basis under any circumstances because that is how innocent people pay for crimes they never committed. And that too is a crime against someones human rights and dignity, no different to the fact that sexual harrassment and abuse is also a crime perpetrated against any victim period. 

The only thing that can be said about Cardinal Pell is that as Archbishop, he failed to act and protect victims who actually were abused by others within the Church.

That's it!

Religions spread their faith through a number of charities, schools, hospitals, nursing homes, child care centers, and hospices and have many missions to inncoculate and provide for the poor in impoversihed areas.

They also have the right to maintain their properties and assets because these were accumulated over the centuries through the work, sacrifice and donationsof the leity.

Without all that money, our education system, and health care system in Australia would be in deep trouble.

I have no feelings on the matter one way or the other. People who care this much only care from a ideological position of being proved right.  Ok, so the decision that you wanted went your way.  So what? What's your skin in the game?  Spare me the self righteous dribble because I truly couldn't care.
