+x+x+x+x+x[quote]Dman’s mate Laurie Daley has pleaded with Nick Cotric to stay loyal to the Raiders & abort any plans to join the Dogs.... Loz is almost in the same category class as Gerard Sutton, Will Chambers, Buzz & Weidler etc in people I really dislike You could lob every Foghorn Leghorn insult on Daley and it wouldn't be enough...mind you he wouldn't probably get most of them. If reports are accurate Dogs offering Cotric 750k cf 500k with Raiders. Einstein's comment...just because they offer a bit more...it is 150% more It's 50% more yes $750k is indeed 50% more than $500k BUT it is also 150% of $500k how we interpret a Maths question can cause misunderstanding in Maths the question in the english sentence needs to be coverted to a maths sentence when I taught maths, non english speaking background students could do number computations easily but often failed to convert the english sentence to the maths sentence e.g.. if you asked the question: what increase does $750k represent of $500k then 150% is the Answer with the words 'represent of " causing confusion BUT if you ask the question; How much more is $750k than $500k then course $250k or 50% more is the answer and any confusion is due to the words '"more " and "than" - and some students will still add the two numbers and arrive at $1250k BUT if you ask the exact same non english speaking background students to solve: $750/$500= X % they will arrive at the correct answer and if you ask them solve : $750-$500= X they will also get the correct answer as you have taken the language confusion out and simply tested their computation skills Can we all just agree that the short version of the word Mathematics is Maths and not Math..... Do the math sounds stupid. Do the maths sound alot better. Maths Maths always ! Never in question, never a truer word has been spoken, is the Pope Catholic and does Jack Newton swim in circles..Math is ghastly!! do all Americans have a lisp and are they trying to say Mass . "i am doing MATH but only on Sunday" ......

Simplifying it for them doesn't help in the long run, as understanding the question is fundamental to getting the correct answer. This is a lesson well learnt for life in general.

It's incredible how well the Roosters are playing even with injuries and gameday disruptions.
They do have the best 2 players in the world though and in spine positions (Keary - Teddy).
I admired the 2017 Storm team as one of the most technically gifted teams of the modern era but these guys are 1 step further.
You may not like them, but you have to simply admire what they are doing.....

You may not like them, but you have to simply admire what they are doing..... Why should and would you admire flagrant cheats. I have no admiration for them whatsoever but every week the disdain increases just a little bit more, It's the style of footy I admire and the confidence to pull it off. Roosters have a number of good or great players. But they are all firing on all cylinders because their style of play rewards good footy and the odd mistake is quickly "made up for" by the next good play which is not far away. So even their less than fancy players are looking like gods. Our style on the other hand is fundamentally flawed as it relies on individual brilliance which unfortunately isnt common and mistakes look twice as bad as it takes forever to make up for them. You can only beat the Roosters by fighting fire with fire. If you can get them into a grind, you might be able to heap pressure on them and make the ponder their mistakes. But to get them in the grind, you have to stay with them on the scoreboard and that mean playing 60minutes of their own gamestyle before switching to a more conservative style. If you think you can beat them by keeping them to under 12 points, you shouldnt be in the NRL

The rorters always come out firing in the second half. I wonder if the "pep" talk they get at half time has darker connotations.

Sources have told the Herald that Walters is at the pointy end of a shortlist of potential Pay replacements that also includes Trent Barrett, Anthony Griffin, Laurie Daley and Brad Fittler. Walters and Barrett are considered the leading contenders.

But we don't even know if Deano has been given the thumbs up or thumbs down from the board yet or even if there is a board left to deal with it.

The “sources” (read imaginary friends) when it comes to the Dogs have had an exactly zero percentage hit rate since the new Board was voted in... Welcome Coach Brown...

The six again is an absolute lottery in this match. 2 points behind, infringement 20 metres out, 6 again no option to take the kick. Referee becomes de facto captain.

He descended into making excuses at Manly which in turn gave the players excuses. He did not get the best out of the roster. Seems to be a highly respected assistant.
