If you think the deep state is a conspiracy theory you're quite naïve.  The bureaucracy and the donor class run the US government.  The president and congress's powers are limited.  They act on behalf of the donors.

His supporters, (patriots in his words and theirs) constantly desecrate the flag at his rallies with putting images of him and firearms on it.  His base tore down the flag at The Capitol during 6th January insurrection and replaced it with one of Trump's image. 

Don't hear him calling for his base to be imprisoned every time they desecrate the flag.

Donald Trump was interviewed on Fox News’ morning show, Fox and Friends, today.

Addressing the protesters who clashed with police and burned American flags while Benjamin Netanyahu was speaking in Washington D.C., he called for tough measures to be taken.

“I think you should get a one-year jail sentence if you do anything to desecrate the American flag,” said Mr Trump.

“Now people will say, ‘Oh, it’s unconstitutional.’ Those are stupid people. Those are stupid people that say that.”

The problem for him there is the first amendment to America’s constitution, which includes the right to freedom of speech. Courts have adjudicated that burning a flag, for example, is an instance of political speech.

If polls are showing them neck and neck, surely that's bad news for Trump if she's only been a candidate for a week. I cannot figure out why he has chosen Vance unless it was at the behest of the tech bros. Trump has a problem with women voters - this has increased it
