+x+x+xMacarthur have signed Yianni Nicolaou, Charles M'Mombwa and Walter Scott. Given they have 22 players and still need a couple more, I wonder which players are on scholarships? Daily for oz football Twitter is teasing a Spanish signing For Western United not Macarthur. For Western Utd, its Victor Sanchez.

+x+xBrisbane are signing someone tomorrow. Haven't heard anything about this. Where did that come from? https://twitter.com/brisbaneroar/status/1329680930953424897Edit: Wait is the A-League player signing a new signing or do they mean the A-League players will be signing autographs?

Valentino Yuel and Ali Abbas seem to be among the trialists for Jets today. Jack Duncan too.

I read Duncan is mostly dependent on the new ownership getting sorted. I loved Ali during his first stint, despite Van Egmond doing everything not to play him. Don't know if he still has it, but you will always get 100%. Yuel could be interesting especially if Ibini wants out - a lot of people tipped him for big things last season.

Yeah that would make sense, hope it's sorted soon. Ali seems pretty likeable so hopefully he's still got it. Apparently Yuel stood out in the last friendly, plus it would be nice to see another South Aussie playing in the AL :)

Brisbane have former Jets striker Kristian Brymora and former Wanderers midfielder Marc Tokich on trial.
There are some other unfamiliar names playing today but idk if they are trialists or youth players.

As for Bernie, I feel very certain he’s moving on to the Wanderers. He comes in to my work nearly every week with Yeboah and seemingly hasn’t been training with the Jets for quite some time.

+xSurely gol gol or juric go to mariners? Both will want to be paid a proper salary, not the peanuts that CCM will offer. Gol Gol would be interesting at Roar imo, would like to see Yeboah moved on from WSW so that Juric can go back there.

How good is the English language when "resign" and "re-sign" have completely opposite meanings.

+x+xGoalGoal Mebrahtu to Sydney hmm? Source? Only that Sydney are keen on one more striker and Gol is ready to play. Not an official statement this one.

+xHow good is the English language when "resign" and "re-sign" have completely opposite meanings. That's for wrong. In another forum I would have copped it worse. Over there, I would have been corrected by a teacher of English.

According to Val, Adelaide are apparently signing 34 year old Spanish RB Javi Lopez who has spent the last 11 years at Espanyol and made 252 league appearances for them.
Not sure why we need another RB but he and Strain can both play midfield so I wonder if we'll see one of them play there instead.
He is also following Adelaide United, Bruce Djite, Isaias and Piet van der Pol on insta so it looks like it's happening.
Edit: He captained Espanyol as well.

Has to be Bruce's last chance to prove he has what it takes.

Yeah just saw that, mentions can play CB as well as DM. In RB/CB we have Strain/Marrone/Elsey/Jakobsen. In LB we have Kitto (sort of) and I'm not up to date on any youth options. I have to assume he will play CDM alongside D'arrigo maybe as twin CDM with pace wide and up front to counter attack? Anyway, that's a discussion for another thread maybe

He could play DM but Strain can play there too so I guess we'll have to wait and see where he fits in.

The A-League is always better off with some quality Spanish imports. Looking forward to seeing the new guys in action.

Kitto is serviceable and I like him but he is the weak link at the back for sure
