Anyone know if the ratings are still on a decline? Curious to see if haveinf exciting youth has made a difference to ratings 

You won’t know without the Kayo numbers. 

Early days to tell. Perhaps My Football is getting some more. Internationally it seems so with a packed chat box and live viewing numbers. 

Sadly none of the games yesterday made the top twenty for Foxtel.

Where do you see this info out of curiosity?

I honestly feel like Fox does nothing to promote the league. A-League stories are overshadowed by stories of Steve Smith eating crayons on their website and on the kayo app I have to dig through the football section to find the game that is currently live as it's never on the main page.

How is it that cricket games rate extremely well on the normal box? If hardly anyone is watching on regular fox realistically how many are on kayo?

I get it from tv tonight or sportsindustry Twitter 

Stop over simplifying the truth, Kayo is king with the new football crowd.... the reason views are so low is because all the young people are watching soccer on their phones, no-one over 18 likes soccer anymore and plus JB HiFi and Harvey Norman are going out if business because TV sales are dying...

Ratings have been bobbling around in the sub 20k region for about 2 years now.
That ain't about to change all of a sudden.

I always had Foxtel. Now I don’t and activate and deactivate kayo each season. There must be heaps like me. And two devices means I share passwords so only one person pays. I do that with all my streaming services. Surely lots do that too. 

Yep and it's not like the Kayo numbers are massive. (From what we have been shown/hinted over the years). Well at least no where near NRL or AFL kayo numbers. 

I also had Foxtel for years and do the same as you with Kayo subscription, and as someone else said on this forum, my kids, the kids I coach and their friends all tend to watch most things on their phones and or tablets.
I am now hoping the Socceroos and A league games are either streamed by the FA or APL or go to Optus, if they decide to go with Optus I will cancel Telstra and move everything to Optus.

I watch on kayo, and only for the A-league.  On a 120 inch screen.

I too have only seen the figures that O'Rourke has referred to - about 15k average per game.

I haven't seen any recent numbers, but just wanted to clarify something.
The Fox ratings we are used to looking at, generally, are averages, i.e. an average rating for a 2 hour broadcast.
So for a typical rating of 20k, for example, the peak audience might be, say 30k (the largest amount of people watching at a given point in time), while the reach might 40k,  which means the total people who dropped in and out during the course of the broadcast, meaning that on average the 40k watched half a game, giving you the 20k average (in simple terms).
The very occasional Kayo figures we see are often ambiguous as to what the number is referring to.
You can only really make sense of any number if we know for sure that it's the average rating, because that is the number we typically see and compare over the years.
Having said that, there is a very strong possibility that in the online world, the peak and reach numbers are going to be higher, in relative terms, than what you find in traditional broadcasting.

Even O’Rourke hasn’t got the Kayo numbers. The only number the AL gets is the Foxtel number and the FoxTel Go number. 

And those numbers are (if you know)??.....
