It's not good enough to just say "ahem ... um.. like ...yeah like.. antifa are thugs... no excuses... violence is bad mmkay" and then go "MURDER AND INSURRECTION BY TRUMP SUPPORTERS AHGHGHGH!!!!!. You need to equally condemn all violence, riots and looting, with equal time, energy and passion. Whenever, on the rare occasions that the left do condemn violent leftists, it's usually done meekly and almost in an apologetic tone. And of course its drowned out by the amount of undiluted hatred and invective on social media (particularly twitter) towards Trump supporters and anyone who defends them, which then energises mobs like anftia and BLM to commit their hate crimes. If you can admit to the double standard, and admit that the mainstream media and tech platforms are biased towards the right, admit that they play a huge role in sewing discontent and division, then we'll be getting somewhere. Unity might someday be possible.

Classic example on the News.com websites today.
The headline is
"Chaos as Trump March suddenly turns violent".
The headline seeks to promote Trump and/or his supporters as the cause of the chaos.
The facts are that the Trump supporters were having a planned organised march, when they were accosted by the BLM/Antifa thugs.
Now, if the same happened in reverse, the headline would read that "Trump supporters attack protesters".
There is a clear and unambiguous bias against Trump and the Republican side of politics by the mainstream media. The media are not journalists and they don't practice journalism.
They are marketers and advertisers and they create and promote narratives that help their owners/funders.
And don't get me started on social media, which is an absolute threat to democracy itself.

Those rioters are getting bashed left right and centre. Look at big tech, they are cracking down on free speech like it’s communist China. It’s not just Trump accounts they’re banning, it’s his supporters and anyone with right wing opinions, even moderate ones. No line is being drawn between the “mostly peaceful protestors” and those who breached the capitol, apparently anyone who attended or supported Trump is an insurrectionist and purveyor of violence. It’s become on full on assault on free speech, under the false pretence of cracking down on “egregious content” and “violence”. What about the egregious content and violence of Antica, BLM and the left? Why can they operate with total impunity to incite riots, harassment, violence etc but you can’t even express a moderate right wing opinion without risk of being cancelled or de platformed. it makes no difference whether I come out and condemn Trump protestors, because you’ve always got the entire media, political and tech establishment doing exactly that. Even Fox News got in the act, so it’s not like you can argue that the right have condoned the violence.
I bet it feels great to be perched atop of the mountain with all the tools and means to silence your opponents, but doesn’t that mean you don’t believe in free speech? It should concern who believes in free speech and democratic values about the Orwellian takeover of big tech companies (in collusion with Democrats) to regulate our thoughts, beliefs and opinions, and excommunicate those who dissent. We (the west) are teetering on becoming a China esque oppressive state. Then again, maybe that’s what the left wants.
