Interesting that they use the subscriber number from September. I wonder how many A-League fans dumped their subscription once the season was over last year? 644000 subs is lower than I would have expected. Personally I reckon the price is too high for the Australian market. The price really needs to be on par (or lower) than a Netflix subscription if they really want to achieve a higher volume of subscriptions.

I sure as hell dumped my sub when the season ended and will again this year.

I honestly can't see the A-League wanting to renew any kind of deal with fox they do nothing to promote the league and their W-League coverage of Brisbane vs Victory was like me rocking up with my phone and streaming it over Facebook, they didn't even have replays.

I would pay a premium on my Foxtel subscription is they could lose Speed and dump Archie.  Speed continually blathers on about anything but the game that he is calling.  The meaningless stats and trivia is worse than China water torture.  Watching last night's game (I'm not super familiar with both squads) it would have been nice to know who was making/receiving the pass as opposed to what some player's mum was cooking for dinner.

As far as Arhie goes, he might be a good guy, but his incoherent nonsense, adds neither entertainment or information to a broadcast.
