Throughout the consultation process it was clear that the operational advantages of having the gala day style fixtures for youth teams was very important to clubs. The ability to have players play up, have greater oversight from the technical director and further match day support such as sports trainers, referees and duty officers would be impacted if a club’s youth teams were playing at multiple venues on the same day.

Very crucial to turning around the Club (team) within a club mentality in Australia. This provides for a true Academy approach towards football development.

Other than that if they don't over-regulate it will be fine. In Victoria the Admin created a 7 day mid-season transfer window, that is a joke. 
They have other rules or rulings that have made the comp an amatuer hour excercise.

Seems a good move.  Getting more and tougher matches on a regular basis is a what is needed for better player development.  It would be ideal is they aimed to extend both PL1 and PL2 to 16 team competitions over time.

Seems that everyone, bar the owners of the A League, realises that a closed system is detrimental to football development.
