Considering Glover - who ‘activated’ the pitch invasion got off scot free- yes it was OTT. Not MV’s fault previously banned dickheads were allowed to enter stadium in first place and do what they did It wasn't over the top. It was a reasonable response by FA to an invasion of the pitch that saw violence against a player and an official. It cannot be tolerated under any circumstances. Whether you like it or not in football the club, or the national association in the case of international matches, is responsible for the actions of its fans.

Typically the home side organises venue hire and security, although I'm not sure what role the APL play now that they run the league. They may have a league wide agreement in place with a particular security firm, but I'm not sure. If not, then I would assume City would have an agreement in place with the venue/security firm. The question remains, why were FA banned fans allowed entry. Did the venue screw up? Did security screw up? Where they even aware these fans were banned? What procedures does the FA have in place? It would definitely be interesting to know. Cheers mate, I didnt know... All very good questions though and ones that ANY club should be pressed to answer.

Under the unbundling agreement the APL is responsible for the "operation, commercialisation and marketing of the professional leagues". FA's role is the "regulation" of the leagues. As I said getting people to the games is the responsibility of the APL and the clubs not FA.

I'd say it's not the kids that don't want to wear the shirts, it's a minority group of parents. My experience with kids is the more colours the better. If you gave the kids the choice of wearing the standard single colour shirt or a special one with all the colours, I know which one they'll pick. They love anything rainbow coloured. Just go to a Mr Whippy and see how many kids want the rainbow gelati or the rainbow paddlepop. They have no idea what this is all about, and the majority of them won't even ask until they are much older. They'll just be happy they have some new colourful shit to put on. and thats the point mind you, don't use kids for any message political or not. Let them play in their respected Clubs colours thats who they play for - maybe provide a armband like they tried in the WC haha let alone just have corflute signs around the playing field - maybe this will reach out to new LGBTIxyz APL supporters plugging the holes and letterbox's :)
