he desperately needs some decent wingers... cant understand why he never tried the 3 at the back we saw in the socceroos,,, a back 3 of romero-dragusin-vdv actually looks pretty good. Then maybe some wingbacks would be more effective? guess its a bit late now.

Hes fucking livid in the press conference after the game.

Ange should leave Spurs not because of results but because the club has no ambition not just now but from a long time when the likes of Poch, Mourinho and Conte were there too.

Similar to what went at FFA when he left the Socceroos post, he got frustrated with the direction and had enough.

Ange is an ambitious manager, he won’t tolerate mediocrity at any point place.

It wouldnt suprise me if he jumped ship soon. Might not be coming to Melbourne next month, feel sorry for all the overnight Spurs fans that bought tickets lol

Spurs are a loser club.

Fans live for Arsenal bottling it more than wanting their own club to improve.

Shit club with shit fans.

I think Chelsea or Brighton would have been a better fit, even Man United if they were bold enough.

Unless something changes I don't see Ange staying for next season.

Its such a terrible attitude to have, no wonder they haven't won a major trophy since 2007.

I was supportive of Ange going to Spurs only because I thought he deserved a crack at the EPL and good on him at his age for making it (both in honour and financially).

But I always knew in the back of my mind that managing Spurs in the vision Ange has would be no easy task coupled with losing Kane in the summer.

He really has an impossible task making Spurs competitive for silverware and was right to say that the foundations inside and outside the club are fragile.

The likes of Poch, Mourinho and Conte went through the same situation and they all left frustrated, no matter how we all want Ange to be successful I’m not sure it will be any different under him.

Chelsea nope, mess and triple the pressure, United not bold ?! they went for ETH, Ollie even worse decision.
Brighton would be perfect type of club, Bournemouth another let alone Palace even the Hammers.

Alas it is what it is, I'm more curious now to see what his resiliance will be up to the summer for those % of fans will keep stabbing his back mind you same applies to many gaffas and their clubs.

I don't think it would be any different in any other Club at that level.

We saw last season how managers were sacked, in short time and not, you are not protected anywhere its that results driven and money wise where you end up on the table.
6 been punted this season.
11 previous season.
9 before that.

I wonder wat Ange is exactly referring to? Levy? Funding? The clubs as a whole compounded by the fans' attitude towards the City game? Not like it's every fan but then tonnes of media gobshites over there saying Ange doesn't understand fan culture of how vital it is Arsenal don't win the title.

Arsenal would win the title from 38 games. I get that it played right into Spurs' hand to upset that but it's the same in Hannover where some people just care about doing the double over Braunschweig.

The team would be so much better with 5-6 recruits. They're supposed to come in this window or the next which is typical after the first season. That's the exciting thing. Ange was able to awaken some and reveal every single squad member's value this season. If the Spurs bosses can't see Ange needs the right recruitment and investment then they just can't be helped.

Talk about ambition.

Bayern have been struggling to tie someone down and there have been many rejections already to the somewhat dismay of the public. It's become the butt of all jokes of late. Bayern do have their very strict structures but are adaptable to make things work. I think it's just when you start there you can't exactly come in saying you're really going to do things your way or tear up the system. It's a big give and take.

Ten Hag has been heavily linked with Bayern. Ange to United? They could do a lot bloody worse.

I wonder with the cycle of things when Brighton may go back down. They're in a very good position currently but so were Burnley, Stoke and Watford at a time. Brentford slipping a bit.

Tottenham's reach compared to Brighton is daylights ahead. It's been a colourful 16 hours or so. We've gone from Ange is resetting the system to leaving the club.

the UK fans are bizarre I remember hearing on talksport that Darren Bent would rather see his club villa win a cup than see England win a world cup... I think that's insane!

Step down - not much only in name.
They have played good football the last number of years, through Potter to Dezerbi <<< this guy has done very well.
Stable and sound club.
Ange is no top proven liner in the big scheme of things.
I reckon he’s lucky being at a name club like Spurs and imo that’s Levy going out on a limb and brave as Barca mentioned otherwise.
Any of the mid table clubs are great for first time coach’s in epl.

I'm not really sure what Ange was trying to achieve with those comments. They were so cryptic they can be interpreted all kinds of ways. The fans reckon he's having a dig at them which I don't believe. Could be a dig at anyone. It's a good way to lose favour but with what benefit?

Sutho isnt too far wrong mate.... National team isnt as important to most week in week out club supporters  as their club is.... Major tournaments and national team games are more of an "event" than the weekly grind... I suppose it depends on how successful the national team is really or how ultra nationalistic their population is.

I grew up in Porto.. hence why I go for them.

To add to my previous post, I have seen Porto basically win everything. Seeing Portugal win a World Cup is probably the only thing I haven't seen with my football teams (club and country).

yep a nice part of the world north of Lisboa 3hr odd drive for Sutho's geography lesson.

tFl you need CR7 out of the way so as Bruno can run and play his own game which isn't far off now, that might help bring the WC one day to youse :) as much as it would hurt me hahaha....

Thats what Ange needs, get whinging whinning Bruno through the summer to Spurs.
The way he played this morn United are nothing without him for all to see.
