+xHow's everyone watching? BBC and ITV with VPN are good. I remember Dutch and Hungarian national broadcasters have very easy going players. The Swiss and Austrians seem to detect VPN. Main thing is it's free. German public broadcaster with majority of games but I have to check which are exclusive to Telekom Magenta. Optus for me - Have kept it on since the Women's World Cup, so this might be it's last hurrah for me for a bit.

Slightly unusual choice for Scotland to be playing again Gibraltar in pre tournament practice. A game against Finland too. Australia played Liechtenstein pre 2006.
I think Scotland will win in a shock or Germany will absolutely let rip.

Don't think it matters who you play as warm up games johnsz..... Germany, alot of redemption needed, playing at home certainly will spur them on OR additional pressure. They have failed for sometime with many same key players so will be interesting viewing. The squad looks damn impressive. The arrogance they have may bite them we shall see.

It might be the off season, but so much football to still watch, the Euros & Copa America, football never sleeps.

+xIt might be the off season, but so much football to still watch, the Euros & Copa America, football never sleeps. yep been great, tildas/Roos and the above soon to start bring it on. Triggers of an article I read the other day about modern day player burn out ! that I entirely agree. Winning Clubs and those who make it through all their comps, league,cup/replays finals is 63+ games. Watching LFC burn out the season before last after that number of games. Easy for the Pep's/Carlo's having benchs full with start up players but for the majority its pushing the physical and mental boundaries. Anyway bring it on for us mad viewers.

Hehe yep - crowd booing before HT. Southgate I suppose tested some in not normal positions and it failed. Pressure is coming home as always.

Pretty cool got Poland staying at the Sheraton in Pelikan neighbourhood just 500m up the road. They'll be using Hannover 96 facilities. Turkey in nearby Barsinghausen at a top football Oasis facility that hosted Mexico in 05 and Poland in 06.
England interestingly in Thüringen. Away from the drama I guess with games fairly far. Unlike the WWC, I found Germany being in Wyong a bit odd given they had to cart themselves all the way to Sydney for 3 separate games or flights.
Majority of teams in the West area given all the stadiums there. Hype building.

Poland arrived up the road yesterday to a lot of fanfare. Thousands at Turkey base near me. Nice to have them here as no games are in Hannover. Been browsing the German rail site and you can see how heavily booked the trains are. https://www.bein.com/euro/predict/en/https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/euro-2024-predictor-simulator-every-game/

+xThx for sharing this. Who do you think will make the final and are you going to any matches? Not going to any matches. My clicks see Spain England final or France in the final against many suitors the other side of the draw.

Really hoping we have a few of the not usual suspects really rocking the boat this Euro. Here's some trivia whilst surfing this morn : The oldest and youngest teams of EURO-2024 have been announced. This was determined after all teams submitted applications for the competition in Germany, as Idman.biz informs. The total average age of all football players who will compete in EURO-2024 is 27.04. Scotland is the "oldest" team in the championship according to the average age of players on the order sheet (28.31). 9 members of the British team are over 30 years of age and only 1 player is yet to turn 23. In Germany, which has the same number of "30+" players, the average is 28.15. Four members of the Bundestag are under the age of 23. It is interesting that the two oldest teams are in the same group. Among the 6 oldest teams are Slovenia (27.94), Poland (27.81), Switzerland and Croatia (both 27.69). The youngest national team is the Czech Republic – 25.31 years old. Turkiye (25.85) and England (26.05) are also in the top three. Ukraine (26.46) and France (26.48) are also in the "Top-5".

I mean... a final is anyones game. I didn't expect Italy to win the final last time around, but it was a bloody good outcome! When I go through it, the tricky game I got, was all related to the other side of the draw. Potential QF's tough to pick between a Spain v Germany game (with the winner, in my books, going on to face the winner of Netherlands v Portugal/Italy - which let's be real will probably be Netherlands v Portugal).

How do most people watch this? Do you get up for the 5 am or watch the highlights or just watch the 11:00 pm match?
