Liverpool scoring with excellent movements to draw out Greaves and Davis static. Can't really blame the defenders there with such excellent draws to open them up. Can also imagine Burgess absolutely copping it if he had done what Greaves did there.

+xSome bad defensive mixups there on the lhs Just nice seeing how much the ball didn't the work there. Swiftly moving it along and Liverpool running onto it. Something we hardly see for Australia with the static play. The ball can do so much of the work if moved quickly with runs.

Mass off after 64'. Liverpool 2-0 up now. Carving Ipswich up. They've lifted.

Luongo off on 65. A good shift. The EFL fans today naming all these Ipswich players who've been through the leagues and clubs. Wow Marcuss Harness an EPL player now. Feels like WC opening week.
Damn 2:0. Quite quick and lapses of concentration. Still, going to be great watching Ipswich in other matches the coming weeks. Davis will be made to gry forward. Broja heavily linked. Good for depth but Delap has shown promise today.

City away next week for Ipswich. Good to get it out of the way. I wonder if they'll sit deep or just have a go? I expect Phillips to come in then with the manager seeing his big game experience as an asset.

Souttar bench?? Ta hell? So he's a bench warmer again after the first game. One thing about CB bench he won't be coming on. That's bad news for the Socceroos.

I reckon Souttar is every chance to be a starter.

He's just joined and played very well mid week in the cup. He still has to learn their system for league games. He'll be fine.

+xNot directed at anyone on here as they always had hope and faith but out come all the people who trod over Luongo saying he was done to now claim him in that they knew him first years and years ago. Ugh I was following him at his swindon days and first Ipswich stint.

It appears the final product is still what's sometimes missing. Lots of great movement and creation. He's good to score against the run of play though but those easier chances go begging. Still an asset for getting into those areas.

Souttar on at 77 to shore up defence. Dykes makes it 2:2 on 88.

+xSouttar on at 77 to shore up defence. Dykes makes it 2:2 on 88. hopefully not to blame! Really hope we get a score of players playing regularly when players have settled at their clubs and returned from injury

Elder the highest rated outfield player for Derby today. He's got to be considered for the next window as Behich is just training while Bos is in a fitness race.

Plenty of calls for Souttar to start over Robinson.
I see Davidson at Eupen is now in the 2nd Belgian tier with the league starting this week.
Full second half for Italiano.
