what do the team need to come to make it? and then do they still have to go through quals?

Second place gets you ingo the second round and first gets you into the third round of qualification I think, i can't really remember but I think that's right.

i guess the other side of it is if he fails to get australia through then it could be seen as a wasted 2-3 years in his career.

There's that too.

ECL? i assume you mean champions league, and yes he would, probably even happy enough at uefa cup level but for me the chances are still slim. what do the team need to come to make it? and then do they still have to go through quals?

are you sure relocating is part of the job description? im sure its whats wanted but right now id take him based anyway as we really need a new coach before the WC quals begin.

it may be a massive cut buts its still 2mil or something a year, he wont exactly go broke. i think it would actually be quite an attractive offer to come live in australia. i guess itll just come down to whether hes happy enough at zenit or not.

It's not all about the money, but why should he take a massive cut in earnings to coach australia and relocate when he can stay where he is?

I'm tempted to disagree since there is more money in the ECL for him if you add it all up.

if its all money youd think hed be at another club though? surely advocaat has a good enough CV to get him a better club money-wise.

you might be right but i really hope not, because its bad if thats whats become of coaches.

No he wouldn't, because he would spend the entire time bemoaning the lack of quality players and not work on youth at all.

Advocaat will tell the board of that club hes with in under 2 weeks whether or not he will coach aus

Zenit are still on target for europe, so i'm going to say no.

hes also offered about double the money for staying at zenit though i wouldnt be sure he wont leave... im sure world cup is more appealing to him than UCL

Pfft thats just Cockerill making shit up like he always does. He is the only one that has mentioned the Nigerian game scheduled for a month away. He is the only one thats "confirmed" that Advocaat is the new coach. No other source is stating this stuff.

The official word from the FFA (as of seconds ago) is that the Nigeria game is just speculation at the moment.

When it's confirmed, we'll put it up.
